OPTICS RE is an intelligent platform for users of OutBack power conversion systems, as it allows them to connect with OutBack products (Mojave, AXS Port, Mate3 family, RoseWater) and view important information about their system's energy use and production, as well as historical performance and event data. It also provides email & mobile notifications* and alerts, allowing for remote control access, which can help eliminate unnecessary site visits. With OPTICS RE, users can use any internet-connected device to monitor and control their OutBack power conversion systems remotely, providing convenience and flexibility.

OMG Finally
I cannot believe that is finally here! I can see my home from the opticsre app. I was resigned to use Homeassistant app because wasn't able to use this app. Mobile app version 2.0 now supports Mate3s family. I have a GTFX3048 and even though it is old, still works well with the app! Thank you Alpha Group / Outback team for listening to the customers.
Works except when it doesn’t
There’s a distinct reliability issue with this app and the underlying data it uses. As mentioned in an earlier review at times the information recorded has all the accuracy of a former president’s speeches, wildly inaccurate. The refresh interval is irregular and erratic meaning that at any given moment of observation you may be viewing: a) accurate up to the minute data; b) acrturate but old (15 minutes or more) data; c) erroneous versions of a) or b). Trying to use this in a meaningful way to manage systems is ludicrous at best.
Yes, I have repeatedly reported these problems to the manufacturer but they’re only interested in closing out their support cases as quickly as possible not actually fixing things.
Radian works on Version 2.0 App!
November 10, 2023: THANK YOU for now supporting the Radian Series!!! Version 2.0 works like a charm. App review changed to 5 Stars.
August 10, 2023: App won’t let me add any system other than Mojave. I have the Radian Series. I contacted support & they stated that this app might be fixed sometime in 2024. So, I guess we’re waiting 4+ months for this app to work with Radian Systems.

Thank you for your feedback. Currently, Optics RE is mainly targeting the Mojave series of products and the corresponding systems. In the future, we will be compatible with more product series.
