Let’s see I’ve been paying for service since August 2019 February it begin to mess up my family couldn’t use the service for the entire month of February so I called customer service and they told me to bring in my equipment maybe mines needed to be updated whatever that meant so I did I spent $40 in travels just to get there and be told I have to clear my bill completely before they hand over the new equipment so I did which was only $108 REALLY! ok so I take it home and what do you know they equipment doesn’t work they gave me a faulty router so I still couldn’t use the service so time goes on I continue to call for weeks and never could speak to anyone finally after two months of paying for service that I never could use I get through to someone and by a miracle they sent a technician out he fixed everything and just five days later here we go again. I wanna remove this service from my home completely they are the worst and the bad part is I cannot change companies because no other company services my area how about that so unless I pack up my whole family give up my house I’ve been living in for 40 years I’ll forever be stuck with this horrible service that I continue to pay for now they want $300 I’m not paying that where is my 2month credit for no service use.
Optimum is down the drain. As a loyal customer of 35 years this is how I am treated.
Worst cable company to support reliable and knowledgeable answers when you’ve been waiting for hours to get to speak with a real person. This company is now owned by three or four different company’s. And they all about fraud and just taking your money. You get no cooperation from the Japanese CEO who is know the Altice Company that has taken over Optimum. They are totally a completely aggressive company that is screwing their long time customers of 35 years. They are arrogant and will actually hang up on you when you trying to get any support from customer service regarding questions about incorrect billing. They just make up lies and fraudulently keep your money. I am calling the BBB about this disgraceful and inappropriate way to treat customers who pay them outrages prices for their services. I will also be writing to the Department of Public Utilities in Great Britain CT. Optimum gets NO stars. What are they mindless!!! They are corrupt and are fraudulent working with a staff of people who are obviously run by a communist party and their employees are treated like slaves.
When do you think about it, what is the main reason for having an app like this? To check when the tech is coming? Most services use text or email. To visit an optimum store? Before downloading, who even knew there was one? The reason you get this app is to pay your bill. Just like you don’t download the Verizon app to buy a new phone, who does that? You get apps like this to open, pay your bill, quick and easy, and rock on (like Verizon). In doing this, the Optimum app consistently fails. I have had it on my phone for a while now, hoping someone will fix it, but no. First off, it can't support Face ID so you’re always signing back in. Then when I go to the billing section it always shows the balance at 0 and says ‘service unavailable at this time’. It’s never changed. If you even try to make a payment it won’t go through. In the beginning I was late with a payment til I caught on. So yeah, frustrating and not worth it. Pass.
