Great app, hopefully more features to come

I’ll give this app 4 stars, it’s great at this early stage, but with a few more quality of life features it’ll be a 5. First off, when clicking on a link I’m always prompted to open it in the app of choice, but I don’t get the option to just open it in the browser (also a open in whatever browser of choice could be nice). The options it gives you are “Never, Once, Always, and Cancel”, but “Cancel” doesn’t just automatically open the link in the browser. Another feature I’d suggest is to let us click on the auto fill suggestions in the search to put the words on our keyboard like in Safari. One more good feature is to add tab groups and also let us change the layout of the bottom icons. If you’re reading this, thank you for putting this amazing app on iOS and your work is appreciated.

Every day, this browser gets better.

I’ve been using this browser as a daily driver since late 2022, along with its default search engine, Kagi. When I started using it, I was willing to overlook bugs as a tradeoff for the extensive telemetry prevention and adblocking services built in. I really believe in their mission to wrest personal user data out of the control of companies, and into the control of the user. While in the past this browser had several bugs and crashed fairly frequently, today it’s so much smoother and the team works hard to communicate the improvements, and listens to their users on their forum. This browser allows Crome and Firefox extension support to a fairly large number of common extensions, including recently some password managers. I also appreciate many of the features which have been added that ease use, it has a much more comprehensive feature list than most other browsers I’ve seen, including the default Safari, while still being excellent out of the box.

It’s exciting to ride along for the journey. Kudos to the team of developers for what they stand for and the hard work they do.

top notch

Hands down the best browser for iOS. Which suprised me as well. It's build by the Kagi search engine team, which is uses subsciption model instead of ads and is comparable to Google in terms of quality of the search results. This browser is totally free, though. You can use brave search and it's build in privacy respecting AI. You can set your own useragent, but you should use just use a recent iOS one, since the device type is still visible (iPhone) and even custom blocklists can be imported. Haven't noticed it phoning home to Kagi. So no telemetry I'd guess and still pretty active develpment going on (mind the great detail in changelogs).
