  • Itunes app link endless loop

    xclny

Ads are exploiting browsers like this that auto open the app store, you cant navigate away once the loop starts without quickly trying to open a new tab, every setting i tried to stop it with like disable in app opener fails to stop the App Store from opening... so you open the browser and instantly the app store is opened and you get locked out basically stuck in that loop

  • Amazing

I’ve used lots of browsers. Most recently Brave. This browser blows it out of the park! switching tabs is nice being able to swipe and the full screen minimalist setting is my favorite. No bloatware no extra junk. Just a good clean browser. And one that can use extensions?!? On iOS? Had no idea that was even possible. I have a Mac mini and laptop I also put it on. The only one I’m waiting for is a flatpack for my bazzite Linux gaming desktop if they release it I will download it ASAP

  • 60% of the time, it works every time!

Truly a work of beauty. If all you want is a vastly improved Safari, this is the one. Its nearly flawless when simply used as a WebKit browser. If you're also an enjoyer of extensions and userscripts, its cromulent but its there! Being that all the extensions are running through a custom built compatibility layer to make them work with WebKit; i have no complaints about their hit and miss and sometimes glitched performance. Just so thankful for their existence:)

Thank you for the fantastic 5-star review! We're so glad you're enjoying Orion as a "vastly improved Safari."You're right, our compatibility layer is working against the limitations of Apple's WebKit, which is why some extensions can be hit-or-miss. We really appreciate your understanding and patience on this front. If you ever run into specific issues with extensions or have ideas for improving the compatibility layer, your detailed reports are incredibly valuable. The best place to share them is at orionfeedback.org.

  • Finally, a browser that works!

I downloaded this because it was recommended to me on Reddit to access the Bato manga website. On safari, the website doesn’t load all the images and sometimes it takes forever to load before it times out. Downloaded Orion along with Bato Image-fixer extension and it worked like a dream. Now I’m back to rereading my favorite mangas and binging the new ones. Keep up the good work, Orion staff and thank you for making this free.

  • Really like it, but…

    _meds_

I really like this browser, it’s fast, simple and minimal. The only issue why I cant use it as my main browser, is because I get a ton more error pop-ups (and they keep popping up making the site unusable) than compared to other ad tracking blocking browsers, like Brave. I’ll keep this installed for now hoping it gets fixed in the future.UPDATE: due to developer’s response, I will switch back to Orion as main browser and report any broken websites.

    Developer Response

Thank you for the 4-star review and for your kind words about Orion's speed and design! We're sorry to hear that error pop-ups are getting in the way of your experience. That definitely sounds frustrating. To help us fix this, it would be incredibly helpful if you could report the specific websites where this is happening. The best place for our team to track these issues is on our feedback forum. Your report would be a huge help at orionfeedback.org.

  • Good but missing some features

Overall it’s very good, but I would like if you could hide extensions and tools. Most extensions just don’t work which is unfortunate but fine. I wish you could use different AIs instead of kagi AI, and it would be nice if it also had optional tor support for extra privacy, and access to more sites. Also, it would be nice if you could set it to redirect you from one url to another when it’s opened.
