Ratings and Reviews
Great for all types of Players
I’ve really enjoyed playing this game over the last month, which for a Mobile game that is rather unusual for me.
I think the greatest aspect of this game is that you can enjoy it fully regardless of your mobility or play style vs most other geo-games. Monsters will constantly spawn at your location and time gated progress is very limited (gear upgrades, regaining mana/health if you don’t have potions, just those sorts of things).
It is also refreshing to see that the micro transactions don’t have a huge effect on the game, just a few classes are available there that can’t be earned, but they are just mirrors of some of the in-game ones that will just save you currency early on.
The game is also functional while driving, also unlike some geo-games, so it makes road trips and long commutes pretty fun.
I think the most difficult thing is the learning curve unless you’re used to old style games where you need to kill a lot of monsters and keep plenty of potions and upgrade your gear when possible, each tier (every 25 levels or so) you move up to can be difficult unless you prepare for it.
All in All, the game has earned its 5 stars, it deserves more popularity than it currently has.
It’s really a great game
I got lucky when I found this game, it’s a location based rpg. It has decent depth, easy to use, many ways to customize your character, and unlike those “other” location based games you can play at home OR on the move. I’m level 83 so far and am really loving the feel of this game, sort of a d&d/Zelda vibe. Its 100% PLAY to win which is a huge attraction to me. The game seems to have decent long-term play value.
If I can add a suggestion for a future update -Mounts. It’s not that mounts would increase movement speed at all, but perhaps could increase viewing distance or lend a bonus to battle or resource finding depending on the chosen mount.
I’m loving what you do Odie, keep up the good work!
Constant crashing after attempting in game purchase
Edit: This was originally a 1 star review. The developer responded that a fix will be released this week. I moved it to 3, and will keep my promise to change to 5 once the fix is rolled out.
Also, the developer addressed my concern with a potential TOS violation.
Original review (will be removed once a fix is in place)
Love everything about this game, except that I can’t play it without breaking TOS do to constant crashing
I attempted to purchase the $3.99 starter pack and after I submitted the request, I was left with a compass spinning for more than a minute. No big deal, I just killed the app and restarted it. Now, it won’t even open without crashing. I have attempted the following:
1. Reinstall the app
2. Reboot phone.
3. Uninstall, reboot phone, reinstall
4. Clear any cache I could find and check again.
None of these items would work. I was able to install and log into my account from my iPad, but after reading TOS, it says that you cant use multiple devices. So, I’m left with not playing, or breaking TOS.
Went to the support page trying to find a way to contact the developer, but there’s nothing on there for that.
I’ll gladly change this to 5 stars once the issue is fixed
Developer Response ,
A fix will be rolling out this week for app crashes after purchases are made.
For the ToS portion: it refers to using multiple devices simultaneously. You are free to switch to your iPad whenever desired.
