“Orphans” - An interactive horror mystery game

A group of friends sets out to an abandoned orphanage that is surrounded by dark rumors and tales to record more footage for their “Lost Places” channel. Once they get to the location, one of the group members finds your phone number and you become part of the group. Within minutes you're right in the middle of the action. Coincidence – or not?
What begins as a harmless excursion ends in a complete horror show. The mysterious fog thickens and the cameras start showing disturbing images. All communication to the outside world gets distorted and unreliable. Help the group find out what dark secrets are hidden behind these old walls. Is there maybe even a curse on this abandoned building? What really happened in this orphanage years ago?

Never played a game like this - it’s great!!!

I stumbled across this while looking for something “different” to play that didn’t involve my dealing with immature trolls out to ruin my fun.
I love ghost hunter shows and was intrigued by this idea and I couldn’t be happier with the experience thus far.
Storyline is absolutely intriguing and I’m dying (pardon the pun) to see where things go from here. The gameplay is non-linear so your actions drive the story’s direction. Your interaction with the other characters can change their disposition toward you and thus drive the story in many different directions. It’s quite interesting, honestly, although I may be giving it more credit than what it is ACTUALLY doing. Regardless, it’s just FUN!!
Definitely give this one a try! Especially if this is your first time to try this style of game. Just you, the game AI, and no trolls…. I’m lovin’ it!

Love the game, Mini Games ruined it

The game started off setting a great scene and had me hooked from the get go. I love the videos and recordings you uncover, they really make you feel part of this story.
However… they include mini games to slow down your progression so you don’t finish the game in one sitting. I can understand that. Except the mini games are not fun, they start off amusing but soon it feels like all that you’re doing. The game itself is a dot connecting game which becomes frustrating and far too difficult for a mainstream purpose in the game. Also you only get so many lives and have to wait 30 minutes to have 1 life restored. It slows you down to the point where you forget what was even happening in the story. You also get paused to complete mini games really frequently. I feel like the time it takes me to complete these mini games is triple the amount of time I actually get to play the real content of the game.
Love the characters, plot, images, and creepy breadcrumbs of this game. But that one component is effectively ruining what would have been so fun.

Amazing story and good replay appeal

This game is fantastic. The storyline is interesting with a bunch of different things going at once, so there’s plenty fresh to focus on and nothing really drags out or gets boring. There’s definitely a replayability appeal, I’m just starting the 6th part and am already thinking about what I want to do differently the next time. I’m doing the free version now, but will likely buy the Premium Pack for next time as I feel like it’s really added to the story for the rerun of The Healing I’m playing. I imagine it’ll boost this one just as well next time too.

The mini games aren’t too bad, I definitely prefer the dot games to the block games in some of the other games from this developer. They can get a little rough at times, but at least there’s an option to skip with bits if you’re really struggling.
