Seamlessly blending the latest technology with health
I have been suffering from Crohn’s since 2009 and I am thrilled that such a usable, convenient and free resource exists.
Oshi has taken guidance from IBD patients by listening to their requests and suggestions. As well as consulting with various health professionals and offering Q&A style questions answered by Physicians and GI’s.
As a Crohn’s patient, I am adamant about tracking. I love looking at the numbers, tracking trends, seeing results and correlating why I might be feeling a specific way. Oshi allows you to track nutrition, fitness, stress, sleep and symptoms within the app to better manage your health and overall well-being.
It simplifies and streamlines exactly what I’ve been doing subconsciously for over 9 years since I was diagnosed. I just wish I had something like this when I was first diagnosed, it would have made the transition much smoother.
I can’t wait to see what the future brings by blending the latest technology with health! Thank you Oshi
Already answered so many of my questions
I have been using Oshi for about three weeks now and it has already answered a bunch of my questions about IBD. Both in the Q&A section and The articles are really good. I especially like the articles from other patients. It’s great to get tips from people who have already been there and gone through the pain! It gives me hope and that’s something I really need!!!!!
I want to like this app, but it is almost impossible to use. It has a lovely user interface, gives you a disease activity score (something no other app I’ve used does), displays data in graphs, and I like some of the detail it allows you to record, but it has two major problems.
The biggest problem is that I can hardly use it - it takes a long time to load, and it only has a 50 percent success rate of opening correctly or saving my data. The rest of the time I get an error message. A lovely user interface does me no good if I can’t get the app to work properly.
The second problem is that after logging my data there does not seem to be a way to share that data with my doctor. That defeats a major purpose of logging all this data in the first place. Additionally, there doesn’t seem to be a way to look at more than one week of data at a time, so you can’t look back at long-term trends.
As much as I like some of the features of this app, I unfortunately think I need to switch to a different app that is more reliable.
Developer Response ,
Hi Janet CW,
Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear that you enjoy our user interface and recent addition of disease activity scores. Quite a lot of work went into that, so thank you! Of course, that work means nothing if you're not able to consistently save your data. We have had a few complaints about this and are working intensely to improve the reliability of our network infrastructure as we grow the amount of IBD patients in the community using Oshi.
We're also working on features to view data across longer date ranges and a feature to share all this data with your doctor. Please hang on while we work on these items. In the meantime, feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can stay in touch with you about our progress! It would be great to hear from you, Janet CW.
