Ratings and Reviews
I LOVE THIS APP!
Through clever caricatures, catch phrases/key words, and pithy prose, this app is the perfect tool for young and old to develop the “muscle memory” to instantly recall the key points of each of the 17 historical books, five poetic books, and 17 prophetic books of the Old Testament. What better way to invest your time when waiting for that appointment with your doctor or the boarding call for your next flight? Parents (and grandparents) will marvel at how quickly young, agile minds will engage in friendly competition with these flash cards. The possibilities for the creative deployment of these flash cards are limitless! I was thrilled when this app was released so I could continue to work through the flash cards when I forgot to bring my along my “dog eared” deck of the same learning system cards. Yes, these flash cards are available as a hard copy deck of cards, too. In conclusion, I absolutely love this app, its New Testament companion app, and the hard copy deck of the same flash cards. Buy them for yourself and for everyone you love. Not only is this flash card learning system educational, but the benefits are eternal.
On another note, for a scripture memory system, I recommend the apps by Navigators. For Bible trivia you cannot beat (literally) the “Bible ‘Trivia’” board game by CANADCO.
Out Of Date
My iPhone 7 says that the owner of this App needs to update it (and it hasn’t been updated in 3 years) before it will work with iOS 11. So what’s up with no updates? Paid $4.38 but can’t use it. Should have a disclaimer attached.
Developer Response ,
Lenny, thanks for your comment. We have now updated the app for iOS 11. In addition to it working on iOS 11, it also is now universal, so the one app will work on both your iPhone and iPad! Enjoy.
I really am open to completely missing the point of this $4.00 ap. Open to being 100% wrong. So hopefully the developers will respond and tell me what I’m missing. This is such a bad app I’m requesting my money back. So for flash cards, I expected a series of flash cards with trivia, or key bible verses, or something remotely close to something worth $4.00. Given that there are literally millions of apps out there for free and for .99 that given buckets and buckets of information, I was expecting so much more. But what I got - or what I can see and find (the part I’m hoping I am wrong about) is the title of the book of the Bible and very brief synopsis of the book. That’s it. I mean that’s really it. A cute little cartoon picture that is somehow suppose to help you learn what Genesis is about. The synopsis of Genesis is six sentences long. So if I take 39 x 6, I got roughly 239 sentences. That’s all that $4.00 got me for this ap. I am really hoping I missed something on this app, but there is no way this app is worth any amount of money at all. I’ll write the same review about the New Testament app as well.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
