OurHouse 4+

Im currently president of my fraternity and was seeking to make some major changes. We’ve had trouble keeping track of things, making sure member accountability is where it should be, etc. I sought out for a solution and found OurHouse.

We’ve had the app for just over a week and it has already produced massive results. We’ve totally eliminated the aloofness of not knowing when things are happening since position chairs can post anything to the in app event calendar, the news feed is a massive help for sending out updates & reminders- members even get sent push notifications, and the points tracker has already allowed us to up our enforcement for member accountability. We are in the process of discontinuing group chats & social media groups for communication since now it can all be done on OurHouse.

This app is the new standard for our chapter!

We used to have piecemeal together so many different applications just to communicate and do basic tracking for the chapter. It was exhausting and time-consuming. We started using OurHouse almost a year ago and it took some getting used to, but we definitely saw the potential. During the last year, the developers have listened to our feedback and have made huge strides to get it to where the chapter members are really using it. They love being able to see their points in real time. We love being able to add documents and links to events on the calendar so no one can say they didn’t know something. It’s all right there in their hands...assuming their phones are charged:) We would never go back and can’t wait to see what new updates they have planned.

I came across OurHouse during sorority election season last year and ended up applying for Operations Vice President with the intention of switching our chapter to OurHouse, rather than sticking with Google docs and various other apps which were confusing to organize and communicate to the chapter on. There was some confusion at first with lots of new changes, but our chapter has significantly improved in its overall functionality over the last year. Anders is fantastic to work with and is always there to help, making the customer service top notch. If you are thinking about giving it a shot, definitely go for it - it is absolutely worth it!
