New features and improvements include: customizable app icons (Club members), the ability to share your saved Lists with friends, more accessible Levels, improved access to discounts up to 50% off top outdoor brands, deep linking, and more. We also squashed some minor bugs.

Latest update = a lot of value!

I’ve been using this app since The Outbound first hit the scene. As a busy mom of two with a family that likes to adventure on the weekends, it’s perfect for efficiently finding something to do that feels novel, accessible, and worth the time and energy. Living in the Bay Area there are many hidden gems and this app allows me to explore a place I’ve lived for well over a decade with fresh eyes each time. With this update the maps are much improved and include an interactive elevation component which is great when deciding how much to get into (aka mellow or intense hike). I love how streamlined it is and the ability to so easily filter adventures to curate a list that meets my needs.

Long time user and writer for The Outbound

…As a solo traveling landscape photographer and blogger, I use this app pretty often on my travels. Not just to find out about hikes in the general area, but to help navigate where I’m at, to where I’m going to be as the next stop on my journey. As a long-time writer for them as well, their new downloadable features is a “must have” for any adventurer! It’s truly a game changer when you’re on the road somewhere and don’t have service. Definitely a great app to have if you’re looking for well written blogs and great outdoor activities.

A great app for all your outdoor needs

I am so excited to have found this app and am enjoying all it offers. Not only does it have great hiking trails and user generated reviews, but it also provides endless ideas of ways to enjoy the outdoors when not on hiking trail including finding scenic overlooks, enjoying local parks, and finding great places for a bike ride. What is especially awesome is that it includes international and national adventures, so it truly opens up the world. Highly recommend!!!
