I have used and appreciated the Overcast app for years. I love being able to customize so many settings and preferences and to organize my many podcast subscriptions in such useful ways. The ability to create multiple playlists makes it easy to accommodate the entire family on roadtrips without sacrificing access to my daily listens. I also love using playlists to keep my subscriptions organized by topic, genre, and even my moods.And we never miss new uploads of our favorite listens.

Overcast is easily the best podcast app. It has the best interface and is excellent with how many episodes to download, when to delete them, and most importantly, individual show settings for when to start or end them. Plus it deletes empty space and has good speed settings. I’ve been using it for many years. Also has the best privacy features.Update: it’s still the best. There is no comparison, and gives you’re for free than most other paid apps.

I’ve been using Overcast for more years than I can remember. Periodically I’ve tried other podcast apps, but Alicia come back to Overcast. I love the thoughtful features that I really can’t find anywhere else like “Smart Speed”. They updated the app after years, and yes there are some bugs, but the 1-star reviews are incredibly dramatic. This is a one man operation app and it literally doesn’t cost anything. Cut the guy some slack.. it’s still one of the best out there.

I started using Overcast at least 8 years ago as an alternative to the Apple native podcast app. It was miles above the native one in functionality then and remains so now. Last I checked, Overcast is a one-man project and because of that, this isn’t beholden to shareholders. Instead, he listens to his community of users and responds to requests and continually pushes out a better and better product. Could not recommend this app highly enough.

Been using Overcast for 7+ years and it is better than every app I tried before. Has extra features like voice boost, smart speed (shortens silences), and editing skip intervals. Recently he added a feature that lets you filter out promo eps and reruns. It’s easy to organize playlists too. If you pay for the premium version, you also get access to listening stats and history/undo. Overcast is the best

I’ve used Overcast since day one, and it consistently gets better and better. It has always been great, but Marco constantly moves it forward. You can always look forward to Overcast supporting the new iOS features - some right away, some soon after. The latest update that adds per episode artwork is fantastic. Highly recommend the app, and highly recommend paying for Premium
