GEAR INVENTORY Add all your gear to a single, searchable inventory. Log the brand, model, weight, and category for each item. Packstack keeps everything organized so you can see exactly what you own and what it weighs.
PACKING LISTS Build packing lists for each trip by pulling items from your inventory. Gear is organized by category — shelter, sleep system, cook kit, clothing, and more. See your total pack weight, base weight, and worn weight at a glance.
REUSABLE KITS Save groups of gear as reusable kits. Create a "Cook Kit," "Sleep System," or "Day Hike Essentials" kit once, then add it to any trip in seconds. No more rebuilding the same list every time.
WEIGHT TRACKING Packstack automatically calculates your total pack weight, base weight (everything minus consumables), and worn weight. Switch between imperial (oz/lb) and metric (g/kg) at any time — all weights update instantly.
CALORIE CALCULATOR Estimate how many calories you need per day based on your trip's distance, elevation gain, terrain, pace, and temperature — combined with your hiker profile. Take the guesswork out of food planning and know exactly how much to carry.
HIKER PROFILES Set up hiker profiles with your height, weight, age, sex, and body type. Assign a profile to any pack to personalize your loadout and power accurate calorie estimates. Great for couples, families, or anyone planning trips for more than one person.

IMPORT YOUR GEAR Switching from another app? Import your existing gear list from Lighterpack CSV exports or any generic CSV file. Your entire inventory transfers over in seconds.

This update brings three features we've been working on:
Calorie Calculator — Packstack now estimates how many calories you'll need per day based on your trip details — distance, elevation gain, terrain, pace, and temperature — combined with your hiker profile. Plan your food carry with confidence instead of guesswork.
Hiker Profiles — Create profiles with your height, weight, age, sex, and body type, then assign them to individual packs. Your stats feed into the calorie calculator and keep your loadouts personalized.
Trip Details — Trips now capture distance, daily elevation gain, terrain type, pace, and expected temperature range — giving you a complete picture of what you're heading into and powering smarter calorie estimates.
Plus, bug fixes.
