Super useful tool

Great way to catalog your paints, find matches/alternatives for colors, and to build and save ‘sets’ or colors for projects. The app has a very complete set of paint ranges, from Apple Barrel craft paints, through to Two Thin Coats. Feels like a real passion project. I’d love to be able to scroll a bit further ‘left and right’ in a color hue match (you get the closest five matches to a hue for each manufacturer) — say by holding the best match, but the five is good enough most of the time. It would also be great to have a way to find a color that is close match with a bit of a tint or shade. Not sure if that is even possible? Well worth the investment. I would also like to be able to use across my devices, but I don’t think I can use a common library on my phone and iPad.

Developer Response ,

If you use one device as the "main", you can export from it and import to the secondary device. But yes, we need to add more support for cross-device use!

Crucial. Period.

If you’re a miniature painter of any sort, you likely have a collection of paints and you likely don’t have your inventory memorized. This app not only helps with inventory management, but also includes vital color theory information between brands and across your collection. It goes beyond useful and ventures into necessary when you begin to dabble and experiment with companies across your journey. Could it be prettier? Maybe. Does it need to be? Absolutely not.

Good App, limited paint range

I really love the app and bought the full version. I have a lot of issues with unrecognized paints. I have quite a few aqueous paints, particularly the gundam color matching ones. I also have some issues with Vallejo and citadel not being recognized in the quick scanner either. I am unaware if there is a way to manually create paints that don’t exist in its database but if there is I can’t seem to find it. It’s just unfortunate that some basic paints (like these aqueous paints that you can find at hobby lobby or some Vallejo model color) can’t be input.

Developer Response ,

Please send us an email with any missing paints or barcodes that are not working. For Vallejo it's likely that the barcodes are damaged on the bottle. You can always use the magnifying glass button at the top to search by name or SKU to add manually that way.
