👩‍🍳🍳👍 The Recipe App of ALL Apps! 👍🍳👩‍🍳

I have found the App of all Apps, and have been using it for years! SO easy to use! You can go to the browser page and download any recipe from the internet…with one push of a button, the recipe loads perfectly, complete w pictures…and you have the ability to edit the recipe. You can also enter your own recipes/pictures, generate shopping lists, and exchange recipes w other Paprika users. Additionally, you can use it cross platform! I have it on my phone, my MacBook, and my iPad; they all sync w each other. My recipes are right there on my phone, so when I’m in the store and I’m trying to figure out what I need or what I want to cook for dinner, I just get my phone out and open the app! And when I am with my plant-based friends who use the app, we are constantly air dropping recipes back-and-forth. There is a Pantry feature, that allows you to keep track of your stock/ingredients, a Grocery List, Meal Planner, Menu Planner, and so much more! One thing I can't stand is when I am cooking, my hands are covered with flour or dough, and then my device times out and I have to pick up my phone/tablet to open back up; not with Paprika! Once you open a recipe, your phone will not time out, unless you tell it to! LOVE that feature!!! SO easy to use! I am obsessed with this app!! ❤️

Best recipe app…hands down

I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now. There’s some up front work to get your recipes into the app, but once that’s done….man does this app pay dividends. I’ve always found the downloader very accurate in ripping recipes from the internet. Maybe some minimal editing required but in general this thing is spot on. Food network receipe? No problem. Pioneer woman’s crazy long detailed recipes? Easy peasy. And many other internet recipe sites. Take those old family recipes and stick them in here and never lose them….get rid of the clutter, mix mash recipes on scraps of paper. Print the recipe when you need it - or view it on your iPad if you want (paper is better in my opinion). Grocery list - eh - don’t use it that much but very nice to have. I would also recommend setting up your categories so you can quickly find things when you start getting a lot of receipes in here. Sometimes they can be a little hard to find by name (if you’re like me and can’t remember what the heck you called something). It also helps in planning a meal. If you’re looking for something that goes with a pork or beef dish - you can get a list of options to pick from. It’s extra work up front…but you only do it once. Anyways - I put this up there with the must have productivity apps.

Great App One Small Feature Request

We use this app almost daily in my household. It is our central repository for recipes and one of the first places we look for inspiration when we start meal planning each week. It does a good job of automatically importing recipes from most of the sites out there without being tied to one recipe site. Some sites it struggles on automatic import, however the tools built into the browser for selecting the various recipe sections in the page work well and allow you to import just about any recipe from the web in under a minute.

We love this app, I just have one request, can we please get some way to bulk edit categories for the recipes? We do a lot of importing into Paprika and would like to categorize the new arrivals into an Untried group so that we can look to that categories for one new thing each week. When we already have dozens of recipes that we haven't ever tried, setting categories on them all is a little cumbersome since it has to be done one at a time and you have to go into the Edit UI to do so. A way to select multiple recipes from the master list, and a context/right click menu to edit categories on the multiple recipes selected, would be wonderful.
