I use the app for 12 hours and asked to cancel my subscription and delete my account. They sent me an email saying that they did when I asked for my refund because I only use the app for not even 24 hours. They said it would be issued to me in 24 hours I went back-and-forth for six months and never received the initial refund fast-forward to a year later I got charged a yearly subscription fee come to find out they never canceled my account and they are still charging me yearly fees. It is impossible to speak to anyone. They will not provide a phone number. They do not provide proof that your account is actually deleted - how these people still have my information a year later is scary. I strongly advise against purchasing anything with this app. There is Little to know customer support you only received robot automated emails back with reassurance that they’re taking care of the issue when clearly they are not. Save yourself the aggravation and a headache. Do not even entertain the fact of this app horrible zero stars if I could give it.
**UPDATE 2** was promised a refund and over a week later... nothing! **UPDATE** I have “live chatted” already... long before I posted this review and they passed me on to someone else who couldn’t help me!! This has been well over a YEAR LONG battle and NO ONE in this company cares about the money you spend or the SAFETY of your CHILDREN!! BEWARE!!! Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT even download this app let alone PAY for it. It will work so so for a few weeks and the. It will LOCK DOWN your phone and your child’s phone. You will be forced to factory reset both devices and hope there are no lingering issues. We tried very hard to have this issue resolved but the developer honestly could care less about you once you make a purchase. It was at that time that I insisted my year be canceled and refunded an allocated amount which.... let’s be honest.... was never going to happen. What ever I ate the yearly amount but still insisted it be canceled. I have message after message after message and all the screen shots proving this and yet today they charged me for a whole other year!! They do not have anyone available to answer phones so you can talk to an actual person. Literally no one is capable of handling this issue because I keep getting bounced around to this person and that person. Please head this warning and DO NOT allow yourself or your children to get caught up in this mess! It’s not worth it!

I never leave reviews, but I’m determined to make sure no one uses this app. There is a reason why their ratings were reset. Don’t believe what it says on the website about its capabilities. Once you start reading the troubleshooting guide, you’ll see there are many features that do not work on iOS which makes this app pointless. They will push and push for you to purchase the discount version. They say you can cancel your account subscription for any reason, but then give a 10 point list of reasons they won’t refund your money, including signing up for a promotional offer. I got my purchase receipt, but no information on how to install the app. I had to request a password reset on my account just to log in for the first time. After the app installed, it only took me 30 minutes to figure out this was garbage and I tried to cancel immediately and get a refund. By time, customer service bounces you around and gets back to you. Your trial is over and you’ve been charged. FYI FamilyTime is a Japanese company that’s developed in Pakistan (if that matters to you). I tried 5 different parent control apps in a single night (including Bark and Canopy). The clear winner for us is OurPact. It’s not perfect (organizing apps on devices isn’t great, and it doesn’t seem to like widgets) but it is a clear winner. It’s also US based.
They deserve no stars! I did the 3 day trial and on the 2nd day I decided to cancel because it didn’t have what I needed. On the 3-4th day I was charged. I’ve been going back and forth with them to get my money back. Each email you deal with a different person. They kept asking me over and over again for the email I used and I Kept giving them the only email I used and they said they had no record and asked me over and over again for the email I signed up with. I never received and order number via email and they would ask for that too. They also asked me to provide proof since they couldn’t find my account with my email and so I sent them a bank statement and asked to just return the money. They then again asked for my email and said they didn’t charge anything for that email. I took a pic of the email they sent me with the login and password and sent that to them. They said someone from billing would contact me within 24 hrs. 120 hrs later I contacted them since they never did and they replied by asking me for the email I used for the account. THEY ARE CROOKS!!! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SERVICE. PURE BS!!Update:A year later of going back and forth with these people I gave up. Well these people decided to charge my account again and stole my money. I have again been going back and forth with them but all they do is give me the run around about how there is no charge for the email I provided. Please buyers if you’ve had your money stolen I urged you to change whatever payment you used by canceling your debit/credit card or PayPal account before they charge you again.

Here’s the deal, it doesn’t work. I read enough reviews for other similar apps to know that it’s just not this parental control app. It’s all of them. They sound ideal. They sound promising, but I am now convinced the technology for something like this is just not there yet without minor and major glitches. These companies are just profiting from parents fears. I would have never handed my child a phone unless I knew I could control it. I installed everything pretty seamlessly and tried it several times before I gifted it for Christmas. I was so impressed and completely relieved. It blocked all the apps and gave me reports on text, calls, location. Once the child started using the phone, it just gets disconnected from my control. She has access to everything and the app just doesn’t exist on her phone unless I physically get a hold of the phone and tweak the settings. Every day. Several times a day. Useless. That wasn’t the point. They are incredibly responsive on the live chat. Kudos! But that doesn’t mean they’re helping. They give you the same scripted answers over and over and when you corner them for an answer, they tell you other technicians will reach out to you via email. They do! With a script and a certainty that the issue has been solved, when I can clearly see it hasn’t. They’ll even respond here to say to reach out and that the solution is simple! No, no it isn’t. I installed and uninstalled app many times. Allowed permissions and the permissions keep reverting to where the app is not running in the background as it should in order to operate. I gave up. I paid premium by the way. It’s a fraud since the technology doesn’t do what it advertises. Don’t bother.

I decided to give this app the benefit of the doubt, and figured with a free 3 day trial I could see if we like it or not. On day 1 I was charged instantly for what I signed up for, by the end of day 2 I could tell that this was not working like it should. I could figure it out enough to navigate through but some things needed extra explanation, which means searching through the help section. Customer service was always kind and helpful. On the end of day 2 we decided to cancel, I started a chat in the app and was directed to email instead. By email I was first asked why I would like to cancel, and then after explaining, I was told that I was unable to receive a refund and that the 3 day trial did not apply to me because of how I signed up?!? I signed up the only way I could. I am still emailing them demanding my refund but save yourself the headache and do not even download the app or sign up.****also I’ve went back to see they keep posting under bad reviews “please contact us for assistance” BUT when you do they keep giving excuses to why they won’t help. They lure you into a promotion because apparently a promotion takes away the right to have a refund. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY THING if you are unsure if it will work.
