Description
Say goodbye to fumbling for coins, remembering parking space numbers, or that long trip back to the car to put something on the dashboard. With ParkSmart–BayST, all that hassle is a thing of the past.
To make it as easy as possible, download the secure app in advance and enter your license plate number and credit card information. (You can even enter multiple vehicles.) Then, the whole process is as simple as 1-2-3.
1) Once you arrive at the lot, enter the parking lot location number on the sign.
2) Select how long you’ll be staying.
3) Pay with a single click.
ParkSmart–BayST will then send you confirmation and a receipt via text, and you’re all done.
Of course, you can also enter your license plate number and credit card information when you arrive, but with ParkSmart lots all over Northern California, why not make things as simple as possible and download the app today?
If you’re looking for monthly parking, many ParkSmart–BayST locations have monthly parking options as well. After booking your monthly space in advance, you can park in the lot each day without having to worry about re-entering your car or license plate information.
We know parking is never high on your list of fun things to do, but with ParkSmart–BayST, parking is as painless as parking can be.

Prepaying not possible
While the Bay Street parking website says it’s possible to pre-pay for your parking, this isn’t actually the case. There isn’t a way in the app to select the time I’ll be arriving at the parking lot, but I went ahead and paid thinking there would be a way to check in once I arrive at the lot or use my location data to register that I’ve arrived at the lot. Unfortunately, neither of these things are true. Now I’m out $3.00 because I tried to prepay for parking 5 hours before my showtime. There is no way to refund accidental purchases. This is my first time going to the AMC in Emeryville and it might be my last depending on how my cell service is in the parking garage. App is relatively straightforward to use but only gets 2 stars because of the lack of a prepay feature when the Bay Street website says otherwise.
How did anyone paid to make this depressing app?
Park-“Smart”, I don’t know.
I have been sitting on the bookstore of this mall for at least 30 minutes trying to sign in to this sad excuse of a parking app. It fails on me with cryptic messages and requests that change the password to what it already is (someone needs a regex refresher) or complains about invalid characters on a name I have not even entered yet.
How anyone considered this production ready is beyond me. You should never torture your customers when they’re trying to give you money. They’ll have time to come to their senses and leave.
Easy peasy
I love this app, it is so convenient and easy. All you have to do is download the app and put in all the required info and how long you are staying and you can do this after you parked your car. The best part it gives you a warning when your close to your time is about to expire and you can either add more time or just leave.
