Parrot: AI Voice Generator 9+

Like another user I’m changing my review to 5 just so you can see this. Yes it’s a scam for sure and I am seeing that more and more as the app continues to have more and more problems, like timing out and never finishing the job, characters that don’t even animate and have nothing but a voice, which is nothing like the original, and many more issues. I also believe there are a lot of fake reviews here.

The first few like the past few presidents are OK but the rest are very bad and don’t sound like them and some don’t even include animation. Unfortunately paid for the lifetime and then I got hit up for more charges that they wanted to apply which I didn’t go for with other options. Don’t waste your money on this one. Only a small handful of characters are good here and need improvement. The rest are total junk.

I don’t even want a refund. The developers obviously need the money due to the ineffectiveness of this app. I spent $30 on premium as I’m a highschool student who’s in charge of making funny advertisements for my clubs. A few months ago I used this app to do the exact thing and it seems to work perfectly fine (so I assumed it would be work lol). I went ahead and spent $30 for the lifetime one time charge and was immediately charged $30 on one card and an attempt to double charge me for $32 on another card (it was my Apple Pay and I’m so glad I never put money on that one lol). I then had a 2 hour battle with customer service through email to even receive all the characters. Then to my surprise (not really), I attempted to make multiple videos for hours and I can’t even make one. Right now, it seems like the singing feature is the ONLY THING THAT WORKS. I literally don’t need that. I’m going to keep on checking on it over the days to see if maybe developers will update it or something will be done but this is a big disappointment. I was so tempted to just delete and redownload the app but after reading the other reviews, I realize that if I do that I just might lose my premium all together. $30 is pretty significant for a broke teenager like myself but I’m more mad about it not working at all. Even if you contact customer service, they can’t change somethings that’s completely the develops fault. Fix your app, this is ridiculous.

I will say that the app provided a lot of great video already. However, to make my own voices, I had to pay another seven dollars. That’s fine if you wanna get paid for the work you put in the feature and you can go without. I made one of my custom voices and for some reason the last half of it was Joe Biden saying something completely unrelated. I fixed it after running it through again so I’m hoping things will be smooth going ahead. The app does seem to consume a lot of memory and slow down and get sluggish, so sometimes when you want to retrieve something that you’ve created, you have to start all over again. Fortunately, being able to copy what you just wrote saves a lot of hassle and I really do like the app overall. Also, I have a couple of custom voices still pending after several days. Hopefully some fixes can be worked in. Ultimately, this is just about exactly worth your money, nothing more, nothing less.

Also can you add a dark mode? It’s pointless frying your whole screen while waiting for things to render.
