Appears to be free, is not

Downloaded ap and once running was asked to pay $2.99 to use it. Paid the $2.99. I now see many pretty photos of Patagonia with brief captions. Attempted to view other features and you guessed it, another $1.99 to continue. Maybe I am doing something wrong but the ap does not list “in ap purchases” in the description. I’m visiting Patagonia next month and leaving this ap at home.
