Doesn’t Work Properly

Update: I’m still having issues. So one of the discs on the path in the previous hall wasn’t white, so I fixed that per the developer’s suggestion, and the eye opened. But now my game is crashing every time I try to turn the second constellation the correct way. I’ve tried to complete the second constellation several times but the moment I get it into the right position, the game crashes. I’m just going to delete this game because it’s so frustrating, but I’m updating my stars rating to 3 instead of 1 because I appreciate the quick response from the developer!

First review: I got to the 4th puzzle, solved it, turning all the discs on the paths white, I got the “ding” sound signifying I solved it, but the eye still won’t open. I just keep getting the voice telling me to “Activate your senses” And I know it’s solved because when I walk back over the discs, they no longer change color. If this is how the game functions, it was a waste of money!

Developer Response ,

Hello there,
You might still need to complete the 12 discs to open the eye, there are 2 groups of 6, and the two groups must be solved to open that door. Please let me know if that works.
sorry about that!

These reviews are crazy.

I bought Path to Mnemosyne on the Nintendo Switch first. I was afraid it was going to be more of a horror game than I am comfortable with, but it’s pretty restrained. (Way too scary for kids, though!) But I really loved it. I discovered there was an iOS version, and was shocked to see the reviews were so negative.

I don’t understand the complaints about controls. You use your left thumb to run forward and back, rotate the world, and hit switches. You use your right thumb to jump. It is a very standard mobile gaming approach.

The visuals and sound are identical to the console version. At first I thought there was a bug - I don’t get any sound without headphones. But that may be because I have my phone mute switch on.

Some of the puzzles are a bit fiddly, and I am still getting stuck on the warp holes, but in general it’s not too challenging. I haven’t needed any puzzles spoiled by walkthroughs. If you get stuck and don’t know what to do, try walking back. Further back. Keep going. See anything interesting?

If you like beautiful, hand-drawn games with a creepy but not overtly scary theme, and eerie and effective sound design, brain-tickling puzzles, and an interesting if somewhat unfulfilling plot, you should give this a try. It deserves so much more credit than the App Store crowd has given it so far.

Interesting game

A unique and entertaining puzzle/adventure game. Controls are fine. Only crashed once without losing my progress. Tricky and frustrating at times but quite diverting. Recommended.
