Points are so worth it

I’ve earned 11,500 points for payments to taxes, hydro bills and cellphone alone. I once had to pay a repair guy and I asked them and they added him too. Love it.

Next step: adding my landlord as a receiver on the app.

Minor hiccup starting off - all is well now

I emailed $40 to my PayTM account (this is an option to add funds) and then used the $40 to pay my cell phone bill.

I got a confirmation that it was successful thru the app but my cell phone company had not received the funds. This was 21 days later!!!

Turns out, it took my cell phone company 3 weeks to process it and apply the payment the my account, back dating it to the day it was paid by PayTM.

Good UX but shady practices

App is good from a UX perspective but the processes are shady. Make sure you read the fine print. In case of high amount payments they will solicit personal information but before you can deny to provide that information they deduct the payment from your bank. When you will ask for refund they will force you to put it in the wallet instead of refunding which I find manipulative from a customer service standpoint. Won’t be using it in near future.
