Unable to pay from wallet despite completing KYC with Aadhar

The App is totally unhelpful in providing a solution to problems faced in making payment from wallet even after completing the KYC with Aadhar verification and submitting the PAN particulars. On one hand it says that your KYC is complete and you can transfer money to another person having Paytm account,but when you try to put through the transaction by opting for payment from wallet it says that your KYC is not complete and you have to upgrade your account. Even on the home page a sign of exclamation keeps on appearing. Since it is altogether impossible to reach their Customer Support people on phone, the App is totally useless in providing solutions to your problems.

Takes too long to load

I use paytm a lot and I love it. There are many times, I am in a line to buy something, open paytm to scan and it takes way too long before I can click pay. It shows many notifications to link my bank, loads all the offers and what not and feels very sluggish. This ruins the the otherwise great experience of instance payment that paytm offers.

UI glitches and notifications abuse

This app feels like a mobile web version instead of a native app. It’s perhaps not a native UIKit or SwiftUI app but cheap React Native or something. Not saying using those frameworks is bad but using those and not providing a great experience is definitely bad and that’s on developer, not framework provider. Many times the parts of the app UI go under status bar and/or homebar making me think it ignores SafeArea insets.

This app sends me promotional notifications even though I have unchecked all types of notifications in the app setting. I still receive spam notifications. This is clearly an abuse of Push Notifications and I’ll be reporting it.

Apart from all that really bad UX and malpractices, the app does the job, mostly, so 3 stars.
