Ratings and Reviews
I was looking for a PDF printer that actually reduced the file size from what I am printing from, i.e. Power Point. I down loaded the free version of PDF Print and compared the file size to the default PDF printer included with Sierra. The free version generated a much smaller file than Sierra and so I purchased the full version. When I PDF printed my full 30 page Power Point, I found that both PDF Print and the default tool generated a PDF file size that was the same. Bummer. A total waste of 20 bucks.
Works for me. Don’t understand the hate.
I used a free PDF printer for years that worked great but is now no longer working. I needed a replacement and was unsure if this was a good choice because the reviews sucked and the english on the pictures that talk about features have elementry typos. However, I took a chance and it worked fine. It created a PDF when I printed one. It’s an ugly solution compared to what I had before because you have to run a little server on your computer to mimic a wireless printer on the network. It’s ugly in the menu bar. However, it works. It prints PDF’s. It’s pricey for being an ugly solution but again it works. If you need something that works then buy this.
Does what it says but could be better
I am using some software that cannot utilize the built in Mac PDF writer tools. Because of this issue I started to explore options for PDF writer drivers for virtual printers. This appears to basically be the only one on the App Store and access requirements of some of the tools outside of the App store made me nervous. Even with the limited reviews on the store I decided to bite the bullet and buy the software because of needing it for work. Overall it works as it should with some quirks and limitations.
Overall it does what it says. There is limited settings you can change and it appears some settings you need to restart the app in order for them to take effect. Otherwise I have not had problems.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
