Description
PDF Protector is an easy-to-use tool to encrypt or decrypt your PDF documents.
Set a password and let PDF Protector encrypt your documents to hinder others from opening it. You can also set a separate password that has to be known by everyone who wants to copy or print content of your your document. Of cause PDF Protector also lets you remove any of these security mechanisms, providing you know the password.
Since PDF Protector uses standard PDF functions, it works perfectly with other PDF applications. If you have to to encrypt or decrypt a lot of documents with the same password, you can set a default password to be used by PDF Protector.

Simple and effective
This is such a pleasure to use. I just drag my pdf onto the icon in the dock and it immediately asks for what password I want to lock the file with. Can't get more efficient or more of a pleasure to use.

This should be #1 when you search for "password pdf" like I did. Exadctly what I needed for simply protecting a PDF.
Not what it's supposed to be
I wanted to make a pdf that is non-editable (i.e., the content cannot be changed). I can set the password all right, and it does prevent printing, but in my PdfExpert editor I could still modfify the text without a password. So, doesn't do what it was supposed to.
