Bait and Switch
This is a complete bait and switch. I spent $5.99 to buy this software, and low and behold, none of the formats you want to convert to are included. To buy the formats to convert to, it requires another $9.99 purchase. I haven't decided whether or not it is worth it to trust this software when they are using such blantant tactics. If you wanted $15 for the software then you should have just put that price on it. Shame on this developer or on Apple or both. I can't say if it works yet because I haven't spent the money to get the kindle format.
It's not perfect-- but it's good
I often need to convert pdfs to read them.
Pdf to Epub helps me convert pdfs to reflowable epub format. And it's a good 1st step if you need mobi format instead.
Pdf to Epub can usually recognize the flow of text and can usually recognize tables. It has more trouble with paragraph breaks and kerning, and occasionally misses some tables.
I occasionally need to remove special characters from file names before conversion, or export the source pdf to another pdf before conversion.
Will not convert AZW anymore
Can ONLY convert .pdf to .epub; no longer supports converting AZW to .pdf
