PDF to Pages Free 4+

So I bought this in order to convert a plain-text PDF to a .pages document for editing. It DID in fact convert the document over, but the locatations of the text as well as the fonts were just all over the place. So, yes... it does indeed convert the document, but not as you'd expect. In fact, most of the text it put in a page-length text box for each individual line. Meaning if I had intended on editing the document, I'd have to selection each line individually since it was all in a stand-alone box. What a pain.

I read other reviews and though to myself that since mine was just all text that it'd be a simple conversion. Well, I thought wrong. I suppose it's my fault for spending the 9.99 and instead should have just tried the software out with the free 3 document limit before forking over the money. Shame on me for having faith in something without testing it first. Lesson learned.

This app is good. It does all the things the name implies, which is all you need from it really. I paid the $20 to upgrade, and remove the 3-page-at-a-time limit, which I didn’t begrudge at all. It was worth the cost.
The problem is that twice now, since I purchased it in Dec, it has seemingly randomly decided that I didn’t in fact upgrade, and it wanted me to pay another $20 to upgrade again, so I can continue my work. This is ridiculous. I can’t recommend something that feels like extortion. Thanks anyway.

This app worked mostly as promised for a simple task. Convert a 1 page .pdf to .pages. At 600 dpi, it converted it perfectly and in a few seconds, with text and lines just as in the .pdf, but into an older .pages version that I easily upgraded manually. However, the resulting document was no more modifyable than a .pdf or a .png file. The only modification I required was to change the text color. It could not be performed. If all you need is an exact picture of of your .pdf in .pages format, this is your tool.
