PDF Toolkit ‪+‬ 4+

I love this app. It is simple to use, and it works! Admittedly, I use it primarily for concatenating documents. I have used the “Compress” feature once, and it did an interesting job, offering me options as to how much compression I wanted. I no longer have Acrobat Standard to compare that feature to, but at the difference in price, it is a no-brainer. The more I use it, the more I appreciate some extras, such as automatic sorting of files dumped into it (Alphabetical, Reverse Alphabetical, Invert Order). This app, combined with the automatic document feeder on my scanner, helped change a tedious task to a much simpler one. And on the rare occasions that I have needed support for the app, they were very responsive. Hard to ask for more than that!

Great app that does it all for PDF files. I use it mostly to merge several files into a single PDF, even if I have a several dozens. What I use most is the compression mode, so that I can send large PDF files via e-mail. The files produced are often too large, and the compression window with its many settings lets me choose exactly the size I need. Simply drag your PDF into the program and choose the size you want. It works very well with files with large images, but the quality remains very good. Essential must have program!

I have many scanned docs that crash Preview. When using this app to change the pdfs to lower quality of the high quality 300 DPI, the results cannot be visibly noticed. I tested this with multiple files viewing in Adobe with multiple people. The only way we could tell the difference was to look at the size of the file, which we very different. And now I can once again use Preview for editing. The developer is very keen on providing troubleshooting assistance as well.
