Works great, Really free!
I was looking for an easy way to extract, save and print individual articles from long PDF files of Medical Journals. Within one minute of opening this app for the first time, I was able accomplish this. The user interface is very intuitive and the app works flawlessly for my purposes. Really 100% free; no ads, nag screens or limited access. Just about all the functions Adobe holds hostage are free with this app. Thank You PDFgear!

Unable to edit pdfs
Unfortunately, I am unable to edit pdfs other than to highlight, underscore, strikethrough, or smudge/redact. I need to be able to edit for boldface/lightface, italic/roman, etc. When I click on Edit Text, the pdf appears in a new window and is so tiny, I can't even read the text. When I tried randomly selecting text to see if a contextual window might pop-up, nothing happened. I can change a font and point size but can't do anything else. Also, the app won't even open some pdfs. I sent feedback for help, but haven't received a reply. This is really disappointing because I was hoping to find an alternative to expensive Adobe Acrobat Pro for use with my nonprofit organization.

i've spent the last hour looking for something to replace another (expensive) pdf editor. i started losing heart, but tried PDF Gear out, and WOW--the level of functionality for this free program is great! you can edit text, create a signature, highlight, add shapes, etc AND save it on the free version. i'm sure there are additional things an upgraded version does, but for all i'd use it for, it's perfect.
