The award-winning roguelike-deckbuilder Peglin is finally available on iOS! This version lets you try it before you buy it with unlimited access to the first third of the game and a one-time purchase to own the complete game and all future updates!

The dragons have been popping peglins and stealing all of your gold for as long as you can remember. Enough is enough. It's time to venture through the woods, conquer the fortress, and delve into the heart of the dragon's lair to take back what's yours and teach those dragons a lesson.

Peglin plays like a combination of Peggle and Slay the Spire. The enemies are tough, and if you're defeated your run is over, but you've got powerful orbs with special effects and incredible relics that influence both your enemies and the physics you'll use to defeat them.

[New Status Effect] Transpherency
- Projectile attacks hitting enemies with Transpherency X will pierce through the enemy with X% damage
[New Roundrel Common+Starting Orb] Evasive Maneuvorb
- A low damage orb that provides a reliable source of Ballusion
[New Roundrel Uncommon Orb] Glass Half Ball
- An orb that applies Transpherency to hit enemies, allowing future shots to pierce through them
[New Roundrel Rare Orb] Spinny Bank
- Doubles the number of coins on each unique peg hit in a shot, gains bonus damage depending on how much gold is held when attacking
[New Rare Relic] Clear the Way!
- Attacks apply 15 Transpherency to enemies on hit

- Heal 10 whenever 100 coins are collected

- All attacks apply Exploitaball 1 (2 if the attack is a crit)

- Add 1 Damage Reduction slime to the board for each time you took damage on the previous turn.

- An adaptive (yet unintelligent) foe, ready for anything you have to throw at him (to a fault)

Balance Changes

Rainbow Slime health increased to 200/300 but starts with 100 Transpherency
Chopping Ballock and Forbification shield peg synergies have been increased dramatically
Cleavorb can now pierce through more enemies depending on how many crits have been triggered.
Spinterest Payment damage per coin has been reduced slightly to reflect increased coin synergies
Sporeshrooms now have a ranged attack on every second turn, they also have a chonky new look
Mines Ghost Miniboss pegboard now fills more slowly
Mines shade now increases its Muscircle and Intangiball after performing a melee attack
Lightning Rods no longer need to be defeated to win fights they are in
Slime is now powered up for every -3 debuffs instead of -5
Double Damage Slime now doubles the boost that it previously got from debuffs (so a -5 debuffed peg will gain +20 damage)
Ballusion no longer triggers on orb or relic self-damage, rigged bomb damage, or dragon's fire peg damage. Dodging an attack prevents the enemy from applying status effects to you. (We want Ballusion to be used on bigger sources of damage like enemy attacks, not self-inflicted chip damage).
Self-buff orbs now still grant their buff to you if their shot would do 0 damage and whiff
Pocket Sand blind increased to 15
Pebballs now cost 15 gold to buy in Haglin's shop
Beckoning Crit has been changed to Rare to reflect increased coin and crit synergies
Orbsium changed to Rare on Spinventor to account for increased buff synergies
Max player health is now limited to 999 to avoid display and demon wall issues

Needs tunning

As a enjoyer of the version on pc I can say I didn’t expect the port but It feels like something that works for it, although you can tell how raw it is, being really obvious when you try to get the full game and it just removes the ability to get the full game. It really is just the same game on steam, and the port has some things that it could take from the dead cells port to mobile, like adjustable buttons and more customizable controls. All and all I feel like unlike dead cells this is a good game to port to mobile because of its less fast pace gameplay, but still making a requirement for being well timed. I will try to remind myself to give it a 5/5 stars if it gets a update to tune some of the obvious bugs and tune up the interfaces, but right now I think that it has potential.

Just a couple ideas to better the controls, though this is just on the spot

Add buttons to change the angle of the shot, and customizable sensitivity to adjust how fast the angle changes

Joystick

Lock and load, or more or less select a target and press something to fire the shot to assure the user that the ball goes where they want

Maybe make a portrait style viewing mode so that all the balls and options are below, but the gameplay is on the top, and make it so shooting the ball only worked by touching a part of the screen so that the trash button wouldn’t be so easy to press accidentally

Yes, it’s a free to TRY but PREMIUM game.

Just writing a review to counter all of the people (mostly kids) complaining that the game isn’t free. There are multiple games on the App Store where you have to unlock the full game by paying, or in some cases having a Netflix subscription, this isn’t anything new.

The sad part is, I think this is the best possible format for premium games. You get to try it for free, and if you don’t enjoy it, at least you didn’t have to shell out any money for it. There’s a lot of entitled people who didn’t read the in app purchase section, and thought the full game was free. This is a port of a full fledged PC game. Very rarely is that going to be completely free.

Apple should really make a category for games that have a one time purchase to unlock the full game, and make it so that people can’t review those types of games without purchasing them first. Otherwise they get review bombed like this one, even though their model is arguably the most fair way out there and should be praised for it, not ridiculed.
