Very good, but it’s best feature disappears

The app is very nice, good text to speech, but the best part, the pencil that actually acts like a pencil, disappears when you write and turns it into typed text which is also nice, but there should be options here. I’d love to have the ability to have nice written notes, something one certainly cannot achieve with Apple’s pencil, but that is the only thing you offer in that mode. So if you allow your pencil to have the option of NOT converting into text (i.e., just be a pencil), then I will subscribe. Otherwise, I don’t have a need for it. Been looking forever for an actual note taking app with a pencil that acts like an actual pencil without being an art app. Sure, many of them have writing to text, this one seems better than most but I’d love to just leave it as text.

Just used my free trial speech-to-text and it came out beautifully. The ability to go straight to editing the text in the same screen is also great. However, as I was painstakingly and productively adding onto the transcript of the speech I had just freestyled, the app suddenly switched to the “Browse” sidebar and a blank page. My document was nowhere to be found, and I searched everywhere twice. I don’t know if this was a glitch, or if I accidentally triggered some nuclear touch screen gesture (if so, an “Are you sure?” dialog before deleting and a “Recently Deleted” folder are CRUCIAL adds).I understand that iCloud sync is a Premium feature, but all notes should be saved locally in the app. Even if it crashed and lost the last few lines of work, an earlier version of the document should have been saved, or at least the voice memo itself. This wasn’t a crash, though. The app never closed; it simply wiped clean some stupid wasted productivity time, blanked some stupid wasted work; ashes to ashes, dust to dust.Again, the speech-to-text transcription itself is really good. Like 99% accuracy. But I was using the free trial to see if the money was worth the risks and rewards of the software, and what it told me is that all my work might be lost in a second. It doesn’t really matter how good the transcription was if it’s just going to be deleted forever on a whim after you’ve been working on it for like a good twenty-five minutes. Ok I’m upset. I’m pretty upset about this.

We have put many tests and considerations in sync and saving in new version trying to minimize issues as much as possible. I wrote a review a while back about this app & just completely erased it! I am now so pleased with this app I don’t want the negativity of my previous review anywhere to be seen! Since smart came along & I got my first I have been on the look out for “The Best” app to make my notes & after downloading probably hundreds of apps I believe I have found my favorite. This app has almost everything! I love all the pretty colors of the books I love being able to put them in a book that helps me Organize everything and blv me I need all the help I can get!! I love that the background can be different colors! The only thing I wish we could do is use our photos as a book cover & I wish there was more Fonts! I’m sure in the upgrade there’s probably more. Maybe one day I’ll be able to get that but for now I am very happy with this app! I’ve told everyone in my writing class about this app! To the creator or creators thank you for making this app! Finally I can get some wk done!

So, I love also doing physical writing in notebooks, have my own style of cursive writing etc.. I’ve very typically had a difficult time writing in front of a computer or laptop as opposed to writing in my notebook, the problem would then be I’d have to still type everything into digital laterAnd this app absolutely solved that problem for me 😊💖 In fact I’m definitely like 20-30x more productive with my writing and sorta life in general because I always have this accessible to take down notes, work on a story idea, or create a checklist of things I need to do / want to do type thing. They just had the deal of the premium for like 8.98$ , and I just bought it because I like the app so much & wanted to support it. Plus the Face ID lock support is kinda cool, Would I ever need it? Maybe? I don’t have my screen on an autolock time, so it definitely is an extra level of privacy. Idk if you wanted to have a writing place to vent without someone you live with snooping I think the Face ID feature is really good for that maybe, but the other person snooping would probably be the primary problem 😅. Anyway, 💖 this app and highly recommend it.
