Description

The Penn Vet Quality of Life Tool is a free app for animal shelters to assess the quality of life of cats and dogs in their care. The tool covers three areas of animal welfare: environment, behavior, and physical health. Shelters can use the tool to track any changes in an animal’s quality of life in the shelter or to identify animals with signs of poor welfare so they can be fast-tracked for intervention. The app can also highlight general areas for improvement.
- Suitable for dogs and cats.
- Calculates three scores for behavioral, physical, and environmental quality of life.
- Produces graphs that show the breakdown of each animal’s quality of life scores.
- Email quality of life reports for any animal directly from the app.
- Download the data from all your shelter’s assessments into an Excel file.
