Limited functionality plus lots of crashes
Purchased the Hidden Fence system because the app portion seemed to have unique potential - was a big selling point. In truth, the app itself has very limited functionality such as only allowing you to be "connected" to one pet's collar at a time - have to "disconnect" to view another. Also crashes on me repeatedly saying "an unexpected error" occurred - often within a minute or less of connecting to a pet's collar. Also won't let me connect to a collar if the pets are on the main level of the house while I am upstairs or downstairs - apparently need to be within very close range of the collars themselves. Prevents me from giving the dog a warning tone or correction unless I am basically within a few feet of them which, if I'm that close, I prefer to use a verbal command anyway. Battery usage display seems accurate so far. Hopefully more improvements will come.

Hi, we’re sorry to hear that you had trouble with Link. You are correct, you may only connect to one collar at a time for safety reasons, but we’ve just released an update that allows you to “hot-swap” between collars quickly on the Remote Trainer. Another is coming soon that greatly reduces connection time.
Connection distances vary based on your surroundings and if your dog is moving you may be disconnected when they exit range. We’re continuously improving Link and appreciate your valuable feedback.
Disappointed in training collar’s App accessibility
Toggling between 2 different users in the same household doesn’t always work. My phone says account not created when I am, in fact, the primary user. Dog destroyed a piece of carpet while I was trying to sign on to give her a correction as it did not recognize my account. Have signed out and back in as well as turned phone off and back on without any improvement. Checked for app update and appears mine is up to date. When account is recognized and able to connect the collar works great. A bit disappointed to say the least given the monetary outlay for this feature. Perhaps some tweaks are in order as connectivity and response time is slow or nonexistent. The fence, on the other hand seems to be great.

Hi there, we're sorry to hear that you experienced some issues with your account login and collar connectivity. Connectivity improvements have since been made and released and we urge you to try using the most recent version of Link and let us know if the issue still persists. Regarding your account, please reach out to us via "Settings -> Feedback" within the app and we can resolve any login issues you are still experiencing. Thanks for your valuable feedback.
I have had no problems what so ever. I have been able to use the remote trainer without problems, adjust the settings on the fence and be able to connect to the collar without any issues. We were told by our set up coordinator that both my husband and I won’t be able to be login and you can only control one collar at a time. I love the fact that with the remote trainer I can take the collar with me and we can work on training such as not jumping off the dock when he comes fishing or barking every time someone throws the line out thinking the bobber is a ball.

We're glad to hear that Link is helping to train new behaviors at your dock. Thanks for the positive review :-)
