Description

Phiewer - The standard media viewer for Mac.
----------------------------------------------
Phiewer is the easiest and fastest way to view your images, videos and even audio files. It's folder based so you can just browse your media in one window without any extra clicking and selecting...

*** Fast and Responsive User Interface ***
It's incredibly fast and responsive, your media fits fluidly right into your viewport, of course also in fullscreen mode.

*** Quick Controls ***
A simple controls panel and lots of shortcuts for browsing, rotating, play/pause, toggle fullscreen, toggle info panel and much more is built right in. And hey, it's also possible to rotate videos.

*** File Information / Exif Data Viewer ***
For any of your media you can toggle the info panel to see detailed information and Exif data for example. Phiewer also displays most common RAW camera image formats.

*** Multimedia Slideshow ***
Just hit the Slideshow play button to view your media folders automated with nice transition effects and background music. You can set the interval speed of each slide, choose transition effects and select your music from really cool handpicked background tracks. There is also the possibility to select your own music from your hard drive.
Setting the Slideshow to loop and you will have endless running Memories. You can even play videos and audio mixed within your Slideshow and the music gets automatically dimmed or muted for a nice Media Center like entertainment experience.

*** Stunning Effects ***
Backdrop ambience is a stunning viewing effect. It turns the whole interface background into a blurred ambience like you may have seen in lots of videos on the web.

*** And the Best... ***
...it even plays animated gifs, YEAH! :-)

Deserves More Attention

I am surprised to see some of the low ratings here, because this is a great viewer. Coming from Windows, there are not too many for Mac that can do what’s needed. It can view images and GIFs, and it can play videos and even audio. It has a slideshow option that allows you to change the duration and apply music, and it has different sorting options like ABC order or most recent. This really works for me, because all I needed was a viewer that could view all of my media files in order. I do animation, and I have several frames and video files for a single sequence, and now I can view them all like a flipbook (kind of). I don’t see what is to dislike about this viewer. It’s organized very nicely. It can take a little longer to load the first media type than other viewers, but it’s not that long. Phiewer even has a slick icon and interface. I’m not sure what I think of the name though. With the way the icon looks, Clover might be a good one.

Excellent piece of software probably the best photo viewer on the market.

The free version has already all the functionality required for quickly viewing photos in folders. The sliding divider of the screen is extremely well designed. One can either make the window with the thumbnails bigger or enlarge the preview pane of the full photo frame. Thumbnails can be sized conveniently via a slider at the bottom. A dropdown menu allows photos to be sorted in all different ways possible. The Pro version is only $5 and adds additional functionaly such as a simple and quick photo editor. The slideshow function is also very easy to manage. Probably the best viewer on the market. Jayammon ,

I appreciate a free solution for viewing photos' meta and exif information.

I'm doing some preliminary inquiries in to boosting my image capture and publishing capabilities, by looking in to some high quality photos that I'm coming across on the internet, for example, and looking at their Get Info data in macOS Finder. The Get Info option provides some more detailed information than the alt information or title information of the image, but I'd like to know more about the device that shot the image, so I'm looking for meta and exif info viewers.

Thanks for making this freely available, at no cost, at this time.
