Perfect Support, love the App!

This is the app everyone needs. I bought this in an effort to solve a problem. Apple Photos can sort Albums only by title (or date) but you have to rename each title manually. I have thousands of photos, thats silly.

I worked with Photomill support and they quickly sent me a Beta. It solved everything. I was able to rename titles in batches, sequentially. I was also able to match titles to Filenames (in batches). I was able to do all this with Captions. I exported the new files to a folder and imported it all into Apple Photos. Everything was recognized. This saved me hours of work! I hope this beta version is released soon for everyone.

Recent update broke this app!

I'm frustrated. This app worked okay until I updated to the recent version. Now it's destroying my images by adding a huge chuck of white space on top of them. It wasn't doing this before I updated. But now as soon as I press the "Convert" button, all images are made super tall because a big chunk of white space is added to them that wasn't in the original image. Not only that, but if you try to export these images, they will now export with this extra chunk of white space added on top of them, which you have to manually crop out if you wish to use your image. Also, adding borders has become useless now because the image dimensions are messed up, so the border surrounds everything, including the extra white space that this app keeps adding. These are the things that were obviously destroyed with this update, and I'm worried about what else might no longer be working properly. It's upsetting, and I wish I could downgrade to my previous version of this app, but that option unfortunately doesn't exist. Now I'm stuck with an app that's no longer functional, just because I didn't anticipate that an update would break it.

Maddening

This application does some things fairly well, and does others so poorly, or not at all, that it is maddening to try to use. It works pretty well if you want to insert some metadata into the file. For example, I use it to insert titles, captions, and keywords. This, it does pretty well, except that when you edit the metadata, it shows you what you put in the last time you used it. You must then delete that if you want to put different info into the file currently being edited. This works well if you are editing several similar pictures and want to put the same keywords into each one. However, if you want to edit metadata that is already in the picture (remove a keyword or correct a misspelling, for example) this is simply not possible, since the app does not retrieve the existing metadata into an editable area. This is an incomprehensible oversight! I have no idea how well it does the other functions (convert, rename, rescale, etc) since I don’t use it for that. If, however, you want to actually edit metadata rather than just insert it, this probably isn’t the app for you!
