Excellent for Easily Moving Photos Onto an iPad or iPhone!
"Pic Share It" is extremely cool in that it permits simple dragging and dropping photos and videos from one’s desktop directly to an iPad or iPhone. It’s simple, fast and just works. For me, “Pic Share It” is a giant improvement over the iPad’s native procedure for ingesting photos and videos via iTunes, which I confess has tripped me up repeatedly. It is complicated, non-intuitive and frequently jumbles or deletes photos and albums during the sync process. But with "Pic Share It” launched on both my desktop (or laptop) and my IOS device, dragging and dropping is a breeze. Once your files are transferred, you can organize them into Albums as usual or via a third party app. Also, customer service is outstanding. When I had a problem trying to transfer 150+ photos at once via Ver. 1.0, a “Pic Share It” tech immediately responded and cheerfully fixed it. That new version should be available within a few weeks, as soon as Apple approves the update. However, the current version is perfectly usable as long as you don’t try moving huge numbers of photos all at once. Thanks, “Pic Share It.” Your app uncomplicates what shouldn’t be complicated in the first place!
I had problems at first. I contacted the support team and they fixed it and now it works like a charm! I transferred a 3 minute video and it took less than a minute. This app rocks!
Slow and supports only few formats
It takes a couple minutes to transmit one picture. That’s definetly below my expectations. Also, I can’t drag and drop an album, but need to drag every picture one by one. This is the first review I have ever written - simply because I have so much time waiting for the files to be sent from my Mac to my Ipad.
There are also limitations in support of formats. I tried to transmit a simple iTunes song, but that did not not work. Too bad I bought before there were any reviews. I hope this one helps others - this app is really not worth the money.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
