You can now name your devices in Settings. Pickr has always been able to rename hardware that arrives with a long, unhelpful name, but the only way in was a pencil that appeared when you hovered a device in the panel, so almost nobody found it. It has a proper home now. Settings, then Device Names, lists every input and output device Pickr can see, each with its own field. Type a name and it takes effect everywhere at once, in the panel, in the menu bar, and when you switch devices with Siri or Shortcuts. Clear the field and the hardware name comes back. Renaming from the panel still works, now on the right-click menu, along with Use Hardware Name to undo it.

Pickr now works with Siri and the Shortcuts app, so you can switch your input or output device, or mute your microphone, without opening the menu. Try "Switch input to Desk Mic in Pickr", or build the same thing as a shortcut. Two new global shortcuts cycle through your devices, which makes moving between a desk mic and AirPods quicker than reaching for the mouse. You can also choose what the menu bar shows: the icon on its own, or the icon with your input or output device name beside it. That name is the only confirmation you get when a shortcut or a Siri phrase changes a device. Fixed along the way: device names in the panel wrap instead of being cut off, the Settings window comes to the front when you open it, and the Settings pane scrolls.
