Description
Thanks a lot for all the love and continued support. Based on popular demand we have now added the ability to identify more snakes, birds, spiders, butterflies, and dogs.
Fear of the unknown is a basic instinct that is built in every living creature. We all fear what we don’t know and react. When we have an encounter with unknown wildlife, many times, the outcome might be fatal to either.
PIdentify is an effort to allow its users to get educated about various wildlife species so that we can live in harmony and maintain the balance of the ecosystem. It is a step towards coexistence.
At present, the app can identify some species of Snakes, Spiders, Birds, Dogs, and Butterflies. We will continue improving the app. Your support through downloads and reviews will help us keep going.

It just doesn’t work for snakes
I belong to South Carolina snake identification site on Facebook. Identification on this site is for snake experts only. I picked three crystal clear pictures, I mean they couldn’t have been any clearer and perfect with the entire snake face and tail included and I ran them through the app. It could not identify a hognose, even very close up, a clear as day copperhead, nor an equally clear eastern timber rattler. At this time in the apps development it is worthless to me. I haven’t tried it on the other creatures it says you can try since it’s supposed to have a higher success rate at snakes than anything else according to its own ad.
Not good
I tried to identify a snake with a very clear picture and it said it can’t and im learning . Tested some more pics and pictures were of a cat a dog a bass and an eastern cougar and it could not id any of those very clear pictures . It would not identify anything lol
Excellent
Very accurately identifies snakes, love it. We have so many snakes in our backyard that I identified using this. It would be nice to add insects there too.
