  • Still the best.

The best feature is the bagging reminder. Needed for someone who forgets. But it just works. You set the schedule, you can input if you skip/miss meds, there's no subscription, no email list, no ads. It just works. I just need this app to be updated for at least iOS 18, so I know it'll still work for the next few years. But there's no better medication app.

First off, hands down to the wonderful UI that makes popping pills all the more refreshing. Lots of customization on medication looks ... Several small things: (1) for some reason, the third pill bottle glitches on several occasions, once not displaying the name and schedule, and secondly when dislocating it in the center of the bottle (it would be nice to keep consistency between where the title is presented just for aesthetics' sake). After shifting the pills one over, the issue corrected. (2) it would be nice to be able to drag-and-drop the medications around within the medications tab and/or to be able to catalog them within organ systems and types (a user defined tag would work splendidly). (3) I would like to be able to insert labels, barcodes or any relevant picture into the notes section (nobody wants to go through the hassle or reentering data that can be more conveniently attained). (4) finally, on a liter note, the due today is nicely color coordinated between what has been done, what needs to be done, and what will be done; but it lacks the ability to carry over any missed medications from the day before. It starts anew the next day, problem is, our health doesn't work that way - tabula rasa and all. Wish it did. In all a frat package that supersedes the competition, free or otherwise.

  • LOVED UNTIL the update!

I reeeaaally loved this app when first downloaded about 3 months ago. I'm super busy and I take several meds a few times/day and the app (old version) was so perfect. I loved the way it looked and the design was beautifully precise and clear. I clicked "update" a few days ago and now I wish I hadn't. The new "Due Today" face of the app is too categorized and broken up, the snooze button would only be useful to me if I could select a time longer than a few minutes so I can't even use that feature. Say I take a pill 4x/day. I have it set up to take the first dose at 6:00. But if I wake up at 8:00, if I don't start my day at the same time every day then I'm out of luck for notifications and reminders because the whole system is thrown off schedule. Now my only option is to "skip", due later (with no time) and "actual time" taken is just another step that causes me to have to remember more info that the app used to take care of for me. With the old app, all I had to do was NOT check it off until I took it. So if I forgot all I had to do was check the app to see what hadn't been taken yet -- regardless of the time. So absolutely 5 stars BEFORE the update, now I'm hoping that they'll keep a lil more of the old style in the next update. I even would happily pay for the old style! Otherwise, I'm sad to say, it's not very useful for me anymore and I'm looking for yet another app.

  • Keeps me on top of my meds

This app is wonderful for those who have to remember to take multiple meds or even one med throughout the day. Let's say, it has given me back control of my life. When you are in the middle of a project you just can't put down the nagging reminder will continue until you turn it off. I never turn it off until I take my meds. Discovered that when I get to the view prescription page, if I close my iPad and open it, I can click off that segment of meds without having to click the nagging reminder several times before it will release the page to me. I like the report I can email to myself to print out for my doctor's visit. I have had the opportunity to share this app with healthcare providers when it goes off during the visit. The interest has been great as I explain how the app works. Some say they plan to share this with their patients. Good work and thank you. Now one request: I have one med that I have to enter twice because the dosage is not the same everyday. Can the "how it is taken" be expanded so you have the option select more than one dosage and when taken for a med?

This has kept me on track on taking my meds. I don't have any of the problems people list. I would like to turn on the reminder alert but will not have it going off every minute. Also when I forget to mark off the last meds at night I seem to always have to go to the older list which is a nice addition but it takes a long time to respond after you click off the med for it to check it off. It would also be nice to sync to devices. I have both phone and iPad and I use my phone for this but many times in was on my iPad and wished I could just tick off that I took it. Please add sync between devices. Also pill shapes and colors are very limited. Also since I am adding on to this review the response time when you need to hit older is getting worse and I did write to them about it. Even the load time just to open now is getting really slow. After several months of using it I downloaded a different one. It responds fast and another thing I ran into with Pillboxie is even when I checked meds off as taken later it would show them as not taken. This was a good app and I hope some one eventually will take care of the problems. I would come back then.

  • Great app, they should do a to do app

This app is great for some one like me who will forget to take any medication or even vitamin. I only need it honestly for one pill I take everyday (just a probiotic), but the nagging reminders is awesome cause with any other to-do kinda thing it would remind me, I'd be like oh yeah, and then forget again. And I use it if my pets need meds (I'm really bad about forgetting meds for me or my pets once the "novelty" has worn off. Once it's something that is everyday, for whatever reason I start forgetting). This way I have to keep telling it to snooze until I remember. And it is neat that it remembers when you finally marked it as done. For me not so important but I could see how this could be very important for other meds.I wish the person would do a to-do app as well cause the nagging reminders (or at least a way to have a snooze button) is a great idea for a to-do app that for some reason no one else has implemented. For those to-do's you must do but may not be able to do right when it reminds you.
