Good App but can be improved
First off I’m a trucker and use this app for mobile fueling and showers, DEVELOPERS the animations on the app are nice and all but consider trimming the fat, I’ve run into the problem on multiple occasions where the fuel level up animations try to play out of order and crash the app until I completely reinstall it, this happens in low reception areas and can be very obnoxious when I’m trying to fuel and go with a line of impatient over caffeinated truckers behind me, another quality of life improvement would be the ability to reserve multiple showers at a time for the truckers training a driver instead of them needing to go to a register, other than that solid app but id like the option to turn animations off because they can bog down the app in low bandwidth areas and in some cases made my app unusable when they tried to load out of order.
Good, but could be better.
Super handy and convenient, when it works. I would give this app 10 stars, if the mobile fueling worked more than 70% of the time. At random, the mobile fueling feature will not work. Everything is set up correctly, I have good service, I’m at a regular Pilot or Flying J that allows for mobile fueling. I’ve logged out and back in, deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted my phone, and every other “fix” that’s suppose to solve the problem and nothing works. I’ll be able to reserve a shower or parking. But for absolutely no reason whatsoever, the mobile fueling just won’t work. As an over the road trucker, sometimes a few minutes can make all the difference between getting to a pick up or delivery on time or having to wait to the next day, and going through all 9 or 10 prompts at the pump takes forever. So it’s incredibly frustrating when a feature that’s advertised all the time on the app and at the pump just won’t work. This has been a problem for years. I’ve been a trucker for 2.5 years, and other drivers I’ve spoken to have had the same problem. As far as I know, it’s been a problem since they first launched the feature. But that’s only what I’ve been told. But I know for sure it’s at leafy a 2 and a half year old issue. As a company that as of 2023 was worth almost 20 billion dollars, you’d think they could pay someone to fix this issue.
App functions okay, but content needs improving
First and foremost, there needs to be a “contact us about this store” feature like the Love’s app that sends a message to both the store and corporate. I don’t always want to speak to a manager, and I would feel better knowing a team at corporate is following up on the resolution to reported problems. If the messaging system were built into the app, you could preload it with certain topics (maintenance, cleanliness, food, parking, staff, other, etc.) and respond directly to drivers about the progress of the reported issue. It goes a long way when people feel heard and see results.
I have encountered stores which have Reserve parking, but it doesn’t appear in the app. I have also been to a location that the app says has the enhanced WiFi experience, but it doesn’t. When I asked the store, the manager knew about the problem but the information in the app hasn’t been corrected. I called the main customer service number, but hung up after waiting on hold too long.
For a few months, the app has said I have one notification, but nothing is indicated once inside the app. I have navigated to every page and even deleted and reinstalled the app and the “1” notification is still there. This is on an iPhone 6S Plus, latest iOS (currently 12.1), and latest myPilot app (currently 4.2.0).
