Description
PingStatus is a menu bar app that will monitor the health of your internet connection and provide notification when health has changed. It uses ICMP ping packets to monitor an internet host and tracks the last round trip delay, average delay, and packet loss percentage. You can specify your prefered internet host to monitor as well as the ping interval. It's that simple.
I created PingStatus to help when commuting on the train and attempting to do work on a cellular data connection. Hope you like it!
PingStatus runs in an App SandBox so it doesn't get access to your data. No data or analytics collected.

Nice Little Line Monitor!
Thanks Jon! This was exactly what I was looking for to test the reliability of a new internet provider. I thought I was experiencing some intermittant connectivity issues, but after using your PingStatus tool, it looks like it was likely a specific site that was having issues. This is simple to use and doesn’t get my IP banned from flooding a server with too many pings since I can easily adjust the time interval, etc.
PingStatus stop working
Since a month ago, the PingStatus app stop working on my MacBook Pro with Ventura 13.3.1
I've restarted it many times and still same issue.
