Description

Think of the last nonfiction book you read. How much of it do you remember? How much did it actually change the way you think or live your life?

We're guessing: not much at all.

And you're not alone. It's REALLY hard to learn new concepts and use them in your life.

Pique helps you go beyond reading. We help you DO the book. With interactive games and thoughtfully crafted explanations, you'll understand concepts more deeply. Then, we'll guide you through practical activities to help you use those concepts in your daily life.

We know it's tough to find the time to learn and expand your mind. That's why we create short experiences that take just a few minutes. You could do one while you get a cup of coffee, or instead of spending five minutes aimlessly scrolling on Twitter. Pique is a 5-minute break that will make you feel good about spending time on your phone!

We’ve curated a library of the best behavioral science nonfiction for you to learn from. (And we know good behavioral science: we're behavioral scientists!) Whether you've already read these books or are discovering them for the first time, Pique gives you the opportunity to turn knowledge and insights into real life experience. We’ll help you find your next must-read and we’ll make it into a must-do.

We hope you'll come and try one new thing each day. You could work through one book at a time, or dabbling in a few books at a time. We’ll help you set up some reminders, if that’s your thing (and they science says reminders can help us do the things we want to do). But reminders or not, Pique is here whenever you feel like doing something for yourself.

Well, look at you, reading all the way to the end. Love that curiosity. You seem like someone who'll really like Pique.

What’s New

Version 2.0.6

Hoooooo boy, we’ve been busy! We’ve made SO many small improvements, it’s hard to know what to write here! What’s an example, you ask? Well, now you can find your notes on the relevant book or experience page! And you can now send us feedback directly via the app, in the “More” tab. And when a menu is empty, now we tell you why (and how to make it not empty!) And, like, tons of other little things like that!

Smart, Fun & Enlightening!

I’ve done a few activities across different packs in Pique, and I’ve learned something new and fascinating with each one. Its UX is superb—everything gets branded as ‘user-friendly’, but this interface actually feels friendly. There’s a lot of personality behind it and you can tell the writers put a lot of care and thought into crafting everything, from throwaway jokes to helpful notifications. 5/5

A thoughtful friend in your pocket!

Having Pique is like having a friend in your pocket—the kind that’s interesting, thoughtful and makes you better! This is actually one of the best designed apps I’ve ever used, and it’s hard to overstate how pleasant it is to pull it out for a few minutes of reflection, laughs and learning. Pique makes me feel like I can be friends with the best behavioral scientists in the world, for brief periods throughout my day : )

App for Humans

This app is great! It’s really funny, and takes a really measured approach to small things you can do to improve your soft skills and general human-ness. My partner and I have been using the relationship activities to connect during our quarantine, and it’s lead to some really surprising and great conversations that we wouldn’t have had otherwise!
