PIX4Dcatch: 3D scanner 4+

3D models from images & LiDAR

PIX4Dcatch lets you create 3D models and maps with your mobile device.
Just point and shoot to gather data, ready for accurate 3D model generation. Use it to recreate reality and measure the world around you.
You can pair it with the viDoc RTK rover to achieve centimeter-accuracy and better precision for your project and single-point measurements.
To generate georeferenced 3D models, the collected images can be uploaded to PIX4Dcloud or exported to PIX4Dmatic. Both offer a 15-day trial to get started. Projects can also be freely exported, processed, and visualized in third-party photogrammetry software.

1 - Scan: walk around your site. The app automatically gathers data and gives you live feedback with iOS LiDAR to make sure you capture every detail.
2 - Upload or export: upload your data to PIX4Dcloud, or export to desktop software PIx4Dmatic, and process the data. Get high-quality, accurate 2D and 3D outputs.
3 - Analyze and share: share your results, measure the space, and enjoy all the benefits of a detailed 3D model of your surroundings.
This workflow can be used for tracking stockpiles on construction sites, measuring volumes, or keeping permanent records of underground piping or work. Measure single points with confidence and enhance your accuracy with viDoc. Digitize reality with your mobile device.

Devices compatibility:
• Optimized for LiDAR equipped devices
• All ARKit enabled devices
• viDoc RTK

Photogrammetry at your phingertips

Long time pix4d user for drone based 3D modeling. PIX4DCatch is the perfect ground based photo capture tool. Depth images from the iPhone 12 Pro make really crisp models. Always improving software makes capture and quality estimation in the field a breeze! Well done.

Upload doesn’t work for Dropbox or OneDrive. Mesh doesn’t display like past versions. Captured 640 images in a few minutes, but didn’t build an accurate model. Needs instructions or tips, and needs some bugs fixed. Also why does it export tons of files, if only the photos are processed? Good idea, but it needs improved. Been waiting for an update for months.

Developer Response ,

Hey Mykdee311, we are listening to you. Please see that you can upload to the suggested sites, plus more. We have also made many ux/ui improvements, along with bug fixes. There are more support articles available to help new users, and we are continuing to listen and add more. A lot of files are needed for various needs, we can even use them for troubleshooting. Processing is not done in-app but needs to be exported elsewhere for that. We do offer several options, however, you are free to process the projects anywhere you choose. Thank you for your feedback. Please continue to share your voice in our Community forum. There is a Feature Request section too. Follow Settings > Community to take you there.
