Pixelgrams: Pixel Puzzles is an addictive free-to-play puzzle game, sort of like a portable pixel jigsaw. Players reassemble pixel pictures from puzzle pieces, fixing Kitzel the Cat’s world and piecing together what happened to the sweet-but-shattered Star Town.

Pixelgrams features:

* 300 levels of puzzle-solving piece-placing fun!

* Daily Puzzles!

* Access to the Daily Puzzle archives by way of In-App Purchases!

* Gorgeous pixel art that means you’re actually making something, not just wasting time!

* Super-cute soundtrack by composer-in-chief, chiptune wonder woman Chipzel!

* An adorable cat!

* Lots of polyominoes (you know, those mathematical-like bricks) to drag and drop!

* That’s basically it?

But listen: It’s Pixelgrams! It’s a simple, brilliant puzzle game! And it’s free, fun and compelling!

Editors’ Notes

We needed two things to solve these puzzles: keen spatial awareness and a (very) high tolerance for cuteness. With a pixelated world to explore and a real sense of accomplishment behind each challenge, Pixelgrams is a treat for gamers of any age. Our favorite touch: Kitzel the Cat’s ever-changing moods hint whether your solution is on the right track.

An Amazing Masterpiece...

I was desperate to get away from the pixel color by number games for so long until I found this game. It was a beautiful game that had an amazing soundtrack, puzzles that kept me on my toes, and a wonderful design. It’s a truly free game with no membership blocking most puzzles, all the main puzzles in story mode are accessible. It is remarkable what a small group can do with a dream and the tools to make it real.

Hasn’t updated in a YEAR

I downloaded this game the minute it released on the App Store. It seemed like the perfect app for me, fun puzzles that I could complete at my own pace. However, they haven’t come out with an update for a whole year, and the last update gave a daily puzzle feature. The story mode was fun while it lasted, and they say they are releasing more of it, but it doesn’t seem that way. They have instead blown off adding on and instead put all of the efforts into daily puzzles. These are fun but I can’t enjoy them when I would much rather have the connected story throughout the puzzles. If the developers spend half the amount of time that they do churning out boring puzzles every day on expanding the story mode, this game would be great. But, the lack of content with the long gap of a year warrants this game one star.

Developer Response ,

Hi there,

We're glad you love the puzzles and sorry you could only give Pixelgrams a 1 star review. We have made a new version with new content, and we've been testing it for a few weeks. We hope to release the update as soon as we can, but we are a tiny team with limited resources and these things take time. Any positive support is appreciated and helps us produce new content :)
