Will these issues ever be fixed? Apple apps get such bad ratings.

I have Pixelmator on multi iOS devices and my Mac computers. I do like the app in general however the latest version in iOS 17.6.1 has a number of issues. The text alignment option will switch to left after beginning in center. The files are sent to the bottom of the page while they used to be at the top. Sometimes the text style selection window will go blank and one must close and reopen to continue text style selection. Sometimes when opening an new image the app will say “can’t open now” or something like that. Again, open and close may fix that.I hope this will help your techs in fixing these issues.

Amazing app, 2.7 Update good, but some ideas

Hi, love the app, and the update looks nice. One issue, the icons for the distort options all look really similar backside they are just small variations of hand gestures. The old logos with the circle contours shows a much more visual representation of that each effect does to the canvas. Could we see these easier to read/understand icons come back please? Also, I liked in the old versions how I could bring expand tools menu up to take up more of the screen(at least I think it used to do that? I’m pretty sure I could haha), because right now, the tools menu just seems a bit too short for me and with my tall iPhone X screen, I would like the option to drag resize the tools menu to however we like, so we don’t have to scroll through the options all the time. Speaking of that, for an update, perhaps we could have the option of customizing our tools menu, so that the we could put the tools we use the most at the top of the menu? Finally, Thai went for the old version too, but the tools menu does not need to take up the full horizontal dimension of the screen when in landscape mode. Looking at something similar to the landscape Apple Maps app, perhaps the menu could only take up a side bar while in landscape mode? Also, I just realized from the other review here, that the top menu does not disappear when tapped! Could this feature be brought back please? Thanks, the app is great and these are just minor things, but would be cool to see these.

Very Professional and Easy To Use

As a new buyer of PixelMator I’ve really adapted to this app. As a person who enjoys designing, graphics art, and similar editing processes I’ve really become very comfortable using this application. This application has been easy to use from the jump. I make app icons which is similar to let’s say the Facebook app icon on your phone. I make what you could call improvises or mixed versions of such. As using this app I’ve been able to pursue my editing to the next level. This app is very easy to use, very organized, and can be used for any form of art creations. There’s are a lot of really good things but I’m here to mention the cons I’ve found over the past six months of me using this app. I want to first start by saying this app is overall a 5/5 stars for me. The cons do not affect my experience using this software at all, just things that could overall improve this application. I first would really enjoy the option of a bevel affect for the shapes that are included in the shape category. If I could apply bevels to the shapes it would overall make this app perfect. As similar to a shadow effect it kind of is reversed it makes the shape look like it’s going inwards in a sense. Next, more shapes! I love the stock shapes that come with PixelMator but I need more! As you can create shapes by manipulating them with the select feature, I would find it more convenient to have more selections! Other than that, those are the only two things I would wish to have on this app. If you’re on edge about buying this app, trust me as a person that has used Photoshop, Art Studio, and After Effects this is beyond more easier and beyond more fun then the others I’ve used. Thank you PixelMator team!

The app is ok for quick sketches but that’s about it. As a graphic designer I need to do things on the fly and find myself frustrated with the features this app lacks. Many times I jump to this app to quickly put something together as a semi mock-up for clients. Simple features the app lacks are essential to anyone who does graphic work. A few missing features are skew & free transform. The distortion features in the app are pretty worthless imo. If I have a logo and need to add simple text I am unable to skew or italicize the text to fit image angles properly. This is a simple function that can be added to the text options/features. There needs to be a angle or skew tab in there to angle the text slant in a positive or negative direction. My second major issue is the same thing with images or object layers. There should be a free transform option or a skew or slant feature to grab individual points of an object to allow for easy manipulation. Or to be able to move only 2 points and adjust the angle/slant of any objects to add alternate perspective to the image objects. If the app had those two features added I would give it 5 stars. There are some great features. But the app itself is very limiting with essential functions that limit the user.
