Plane Finder 3D tracks flights live around the world in 3D airspace.
A brand new way to view live air traffic, it’s fascinating to watch real time travel patterns around the world.
Why not watch the planes stacking up to land at your favorite airport, or see planes “follow the sun” across the Atlantic. What time do different countries and continents come alive?
Once you’ve found some interesting air space, use the ARKit feature to bring the planes right into your living room!
Simply spin the globe and zoom in to find something interesting to explore. If you’re looking for a specific flight, just type the flight number into search. Or type a place or airport into search to zoom straight there.
Tap on a plane to see Departure and Arrival Airports, Flight Number, Registration and Airline as well as Altitude, Speed and Heading.
With another tap you can even join a plane in flight and whiz around it for some stunning aerial views.
Share your screenshots with friends and family, maybe your flight passing over your home?
Already a Plane Finder user? Tap on a plane and there’s a handy button to switch into the main Plane Finder app straight to the same plane on a traditional map where you can drill down into all the extra data we know you love.
Plane Finder 3D uses the same trusted flight tracking data that powers Plane Finder, the original live plane tracking app top ranking since 2009.

Very good, needs features
It’s really very good app, is captivating and a lot of fun to use. But it suffers greatly from the lack of ability to tap on the screen to get information about flights around the flight if you’re tracking. For example you’re looking at a flight in 3-D and you can see other plans ahead of it but when you tap on those planes you’re directed to the information on that plane and it’s pretty hard to get back to the original flight that you were tracking. So they don’t make it easy for you to stick with one flight but understand what’s going on around that.
The AR implementation as it currently is is pretty useless. It basically puts the typography on the surface in front of you but navigating his rudimentary and a lot of the ability you would expect isn’t there.
So yeah it’s worth the five dollars and I suspect the developers have plans to address the navigation issues
What went wrong??? Extremely disappointed!!!
This app, beautiful 3-D app was always my go to app. I have a few other ones downloaded for airplanes but this was always my go to because it was the most accurate and it also showed you all the planes that other apps didn’t.
And then all of a sudden about two weeks ago it was like somebody went out of their way and did something to completely ruin this app. And by the way, I paid for this app. It wasn’t free. So naturally I expect the best and was getting the best for quite a long time. Now it’s useless to even use this app because it’s not showing me the planes that are flying over my head. So now I have to rely on my crappy airplane apps which by the way are showing me more than this app does. And I called those other apps crappy apps only because The accuracy is way off and a lot of times when planes takeoff from an airport by where I live it doesn’t show the plane on the radar until it’s maybe 20 miles past where I am. And naturally it makes these apps useless and yet they are still better than this app.
Come on guys, what the hell is going on? You had an excellent product here that’s now going down the toilet! Extremely disappointed!!!!
Developer Response ,
Hi, we would like to work out what has gone wrong for you so you can continue to enjoy Plane Finder 3D. Please could you email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your location so we can check our receivers in your area? Thanks in advance.
Neat, but missing flight info
This is a fun way to visualize flights...just needs to be cleaned up a bit:
Seems to be missing flight information for a lot of flights (see “currently no journey data to display” quite a lot).
Also looks like aircraft altitude is not being mapped into the 3D space correctly. Tracked the same flight in this and FlightRadar24....flightradar showed the aircraft correctly on the ground after landing, this shows the plane still 2000 feet in the air over KLAS.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
