Planet Watch teaches students about energy efficiency by showing them how their actions impact their school’s energy consumption – and ultimately, the planet.
Combining real-time energy data from solar panels, with gamification, data visualisation and curriculum-aligned educational activities, this interactive teacher-led game allows students to:
• View their school’s energy usage and solar generation in real-time
• Compare their school’s energy usage with other schools
• See the positive impact of their own energy-saving activities
By rewarding energy efficiency and encouraging healthy competition between schools, Planet Watch helps students understand the importance of reducing their energy consumption.
