Create fair yet competitive lineups fast with the App that thinks like a coach.
PLAY BALL LINEUP is a revolutionary youth baseball and softball lineup-making App. With PLAY BALL LINEUP, the App actually creates the lineup based on the strategy provided by the coach; thereby saving the coach from the time-consuming responsibility of creating an equitable yet competitive lineup game after game after game. Other enhancements to Play Ball Lineup:
We have added player name resizing functionality for those coaches who wish to enter first and last names of their players into their lineups.
Lastly, as many of you have requested, we have synced the lineup with the batting order. Now the order of the player's names on the exported lineup page will mirror the order of the player's names on the exported batting order page.
As always...please let us know your thoughts.

Solid App! Great coaching tool
This app has made my coaching job soo much easier. I manage a coed softball team. All the players have different skill levels and position limitations. It takes all of this into account and provides a lineup that needs very little tweaking. It also gives my players a fair amount of time on and off the field and allows me to adjust how many innings each player should play.
I'm giving it 4 stars because I just need one more feature...ability to add coed rules into the equation. Other than that, the app is solid. I haven't encountered any performance issues. Worth every penny.
Spent a good 45 mins speaking to the owner to was extremely open to suggestions. It needs a couple enhancements but I can genuinely say it's an app I use weekly during the softball season. I do believe that in instructional play, the app should be able to track the players on how many times they have played a position and a rule should be set up specifically to account for the logic. Let's me honest, at the early stages it's all Daddy ball and parents only watch there own children. This would help distribute the positions so no one person played a position more than another person through out the season. Keep the parents happy. Remind you this would only be for instructional play
His app does a great job of helping me create lineups especially considering we have a couple hard to follow rules, like that players need to play at east 3 innings and one of those needs to be on the infield.
It's missing just a couple things:
1. iCloud support. I do most of my lineups on my iPad but only take my phone to the game. I would like it to sync.
2. I would like to be able to use portrait view on the iPhone. It's really annoying to only see a slice of things because it only works with landscape.
3. Errors that result from shuffling the lineup could be resolved with updated algorithms. It does most of the work for me, but I would imagine it could very easily take care of it all. If I can fix the errors manually, the app should be able to.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
