I don’t have many issues with this app and I love my local store but I do think it’s wild that in 2024 they charge a convenience fee to order ahead 😩 it’s only 50 cents but still, when my order is $8 and extra 50 cents makes a difference especially because I always tip them, I’d rather that money go towards a tip. I think it’s more convenient for them too when I order ahead and don’t add to the line but whatever

I love visiting our local Playa Bowls locations. The food and staff are always great. This app is just so-so though. Once I place an order it will just have the blue “in progress” circle going forever and I just have to close the app. The order is actually placed but it’s sort of vanished from the app screens after I re-open the app. No order tracking visibility. The next thing I get is a notification when my order is actually ready for pick-up. Also, the Convenience Fee (even for pickup orders) is a letdown. App orders are actually more convenient for the store because no one has to manually take my order at the register.
