It’s a good design but ultimately the camera is always playing catch-up on the phone and I have great WiFi and phone service. Struggles on carpet which is all I have in my home besides the kitchen. The camera is what I I’m most disappointed in, it’s not aligned with my phone as I move it so I have no idea where it’s going and doesn’t seam to move in the detection I want it to if I would would use the controls and detection also compass of my home.
‘Bought’ it 2+ years ago for $189. It’s ok. Very difficult to navigate. Was expecting precision of a drone, remote control car, etc. definitely nothing like that. Only moves for me on full speed which means a lot banging back and forth between things. Camera is nauseous unless it’s sitting still. Took 10 minutes to guide it back to the charging station. I don’t have that amount of time in a work day. My dog won’t play with it, but all dogs are different. It’s basically an awkward movable camera for me, which isn’t all that bad. I’ll probably just point it the couch and watch my dog sleeping. Who knows how long will take to find him if he’s not there. No sure of the price now, but not worth the promises at this point.
I rarely submit written reviews but I backed this on indiegogo and after years of waiting did get the product. However the connection to Wifi on it is terrible, ball doesn’t move well or really correctly in the direction you’re telling it too. The app is also extremely buggy and constantly crashes. All in all this is a terribly built product well around from hardware to software.
