Please note: Only one person in your playgroup has to download and install the Playgroup life tracker app on a phone, tablet or run it on PC. The tracker app is exclusively used for tracking games. Stats will be available in real-time on the website for all participants (playgroup.gg).

Ever wanted to know whether you are the best Commander player in your Playgroup? Whether that friend of yours really does take 10 minutes turns? Wondering what your average damage per game is for your favourite deck?
You'll need to track life during your games anyway enhance your experience by using the Playgroup Life Counter App and get answers to all of the above questions and much more.

Please note that the Playgroup app requires a Playgroup.gg account.

Main Features:

+ The life counter is available on all devices.
+ Supports up to 6 players
+ Don't just track wins and losses, but track how much damage has been done by which player and to which player, track turn duration and of course commander damage and poison counters.
+ Intuitive UI: By using a combination of swiping gestures (swipe towards the player that you want to damage) and tapping (tap for 1 life or hold for 10 life) tracking takes little effort.
+ Player profiles: each player loads up their personal player profile into the life counter easily via QR code. Select your deck from your deck list and start tracking!
+ Backgrounds: the life counter automatically sets your Commander as your background.

Dashboard (https://playgroup.gg) Features:

+ Personalised stats: Get detailed statistics about your deck's performance. See the power level, win rate, elo rating, average kills per game, largest kill & win streaks and much more.
+ Playgroup management: create and manage playgroups, invite an unlimited number of friends.
+ Leaderboards: Get competitve, and rank against your playgroup members with the deck or player leaderboards.

* Custom trackers: It's now possible to add any tracker you want to your user or playgroup. Want to keep track of how many turn 1 ramp you have? You got it! Want to keep track of how many "take-backsies" your foes take? Do it! Just create new trackers from the website and associate them with your decks. They will show up automatically in the advanced action menu (AAM).
* Remove Commander Image mode: For clarity it is now possible to disable the commander images and just use simple rectangles instead.
* Added "Extort" to the advanced actions menu (AAM).
* Colored the various buttons in the AAM by function.
* Fixed an issue where on smaller screens the add deck option fell off the screen.
* Fixed an issue where poison tokens would be stored based on the player who gave them instead of adding them together.
* Life font scale is allowed to go up to 400% on tablets now.
* Fixed an issue where attacking a shielded user with lifelink would still let you gain life.
* Color coded various elements in the advanced actions menu by use.
* Add checkmarks to the various combat damage options for increased visiblity.
* [Supporter only] Added VFX effects when quickly healing or damaging yourself via the AAM.
* [Supporter only] Fixed an issue where an effect would show when you did zero damage.

Best Tracker for Stats

I have used a lot of different life trackers and this might be the last one I use. Definitely a bit of a learning curve, but after a few times using it, it all comes together.

The magic happens on the website though. You can look at details from each turn, pinpoint who did what on each turn and keep track of when a player is knocked out.

The only drawback is getting everyone on board to make a profile. Otherwise it might not track as accurately

My favorite life tracker app!

Everything that comes with this app and website are amazing. First of all, it’s free. Second, it makes tracking commander damage super clear. It has really great options for dealing damage to your opponents and yourself. The website gives you the ability to track your games that were recorded on the app and gather some helpful data. Overall it’s a very well designed app and just keeps improving!

Great - Needs Improvement

Great at tracking stats and the other forms of damage in games of Magic. The life encounter is annoying, though - on the phone it requires a swipe and then tap instead of a simple tap to change life total, and is a bit hard to interact with when you enter certain screens
