Technology is fundamental in improving a cyclist’s safety. By indication with hands free control the POC See Me app improves a cyclist’s visibility and communication.

POC is a Swedish company with a strong mission to do the best we can to possibly save lives and to reduce the consequences of accidents for gravity sports athletes and cyclists. POC Aid is an initiative to further support our mission and it allows us to explore the possibilities to improve the level of safety for our users through the use of digital applications and solutions.

Technology is fundamental in improving a cyclist’s safety and to support this POC has developed an app to work with a variety of its products. The POC | SEE ME pocket, which is integrated in all the commuter jackets, is a simple and effective example. When the POC | SEE ME app is opened on a smart phone and placed in the pocket it allows a user to indicate left or right via voice control. Left or right turning is indicated by moving arrows on the smart phone screen which can also be used as a flashing rear light when not indicating, improving the users safety in low light conditions.

The app can also be controlled through Bluetooth and the innovative Flic button, which is a highly innovative digital solution created to simplify and improve a users experience with digital technology. Clicking the Flic button will remotely allow the user to signal left or right and return to a regular light function for enhanced visibility.
